How to earn ranks
Greetings! If you are a user interested in ranks, and what to learn how to earn them, here are some tips!

So, I have seen users continuously asking moderators: "How did you get up there? "Why is your named highlighted?" Well, they are staff members. Staff members like Moderator's, Administrators, Royalty, and Emperor guards can walk on walls. There colored names represent each rank they have. For example:

Red names- Administrators

Blue names - Moderators

Grey names - Imperial Knights or Emperor guards

Darkish blue - PW Captain

Now, not all administrators have red names. There are royalty, Archie, Malorie, Raindrop, and GUGU who are moderators. They have the title "Prince" and "Princess, but Raindrop has a light dark pink highlight on her name. She has the title along with GUGU.

Some users I've seen have asked: "How do I get a rank?" "Where do I apply?" You can apply for any rank as long as you have experience. If you think you have a good amount of experience for your desired rank, you can apply here on Forums in the "Applications" Category.
If you want a rank, here are some ways you can earn one:

1. Earn it.

2. Win it.

3. Apply for it.

NOTICE: If you ask for a rank, that will decrease your chances of earning one by 20%. If you break rules, and disrespect ranked users, you can apologize by making a "Apology" post here. You can put it in the "Banned" or "The Lounge" Category.

I'm actually not even bothered about how much dislikes or hate this gets.

It's about time moderators use their eyes to actually see people cussing.
I just ran into this girl who said a cuss and started spamming letters straight after.
I mean, you're probably all going to be like ''They have so much to do!'' But seriously,
the least they can do is use their eyes to see if anyone's cussing. It's not fair how users get
to report everything even know they're in the same room as the moderator on which the situation
actually happened. You can actually dislike this, it's not like I'll be hurt from it.
But it's really annoying me now.

Ouchie, I am your friend! Also, how would you know if they hate you? I am pretty sure no one has ever said 'I hate you' right in front of your face on DSGHQ. If you need more friends, just talk to more people and interact more. I hope this helped you!

How long have you been playing? for over a year now

Why do u want to become a moderator? I want to become a moderator because I really would love to help protect Oldcp.

I did quit Oldcp for a few months now, I had time to play, I just felt alittle left out and I was never able to achiever my goal of becoming a moderator, and I really want to try to become one again.

This was my moderator application, and I hope you guys like it, and I might be missing some things and I'm really sorry about that.

Here's my opinion on the new rule: I agree with the punishments given to those who abuse their powers, but what I feel is that these will almost never be enforced, or there will be a way to give them back their rank. Another thing is that some punishments are based on specific people. Damen doesn't want certain people to be demoted, so there's going to be a way around his own rules to make sure said people won't get demoted. I'm just saying, I've seen rules not be enforced before, and I bet we'll see that again.

Another thing is that I saw a lot of people on the discussion say one of two things. One was, "Great rule! I'm sure no ranked user would ever abuse their power, nor would I think they ever have!" I also saw, "Good rule! I'm positive this rule will make sure no one will abuse their power anymore." The thing is: ranked users still will abuse their powers! You can't deny it, and no punishment will stop them. The rule will not be enforced, and if it is, certain people will be excused from it! It is just like any other rule created in the DSGHQ; we're making users and ranks equal, yet some are always going to be more equal than the rest. They'll always have more leeway than the rest of us. If you don't know what leeway is, here's the dictionary definition: [an allowable margin of freedom or variation]

This isn't a rant about how unfair the DSGHQ is; it's about how uneven the new rule is. If you look at the discussion again, you'll see that the only true punishment is for Moderators. The other ranks basically get probation, but never demotion. You might say to me that Administrators could get demoted, but the post says "may be demoted". Yes, it could be seen that I look too much into things, but it's basically saying Administrators and other ranks are excused for whatever drama they might cause. Moderators seem to always get the worst of it; if the DSGHQ were a restaurant, they would be the permanent trainees or dish scrubbers. If one thing sets their boss off, they're out.

I might be seeing things differently than you do, so please tell you your feedback of what you think about the new rule. I want your honest opinion, not what you would say if you're trying to earn a rank. Don't worry! Nothing will happen to you if you tell your honest opinion, it's not like they can take that away from you too!

Hello, I'm Bonwe. I'm applying for a low rank because I feel that a lot of crime activity happens at night in EST/PST. There is a big gap in that time where no staff come on. I'm usually on at that time so I am offering to keep watch and if crime activity happens at that time I will help stop it. I will not take action after 3 warning pass. I do not want to be able to ban people. I just want to be able to arrest or kick people. I am not applying to have responsibility and do what I want. I am applying for others don't have to suffer when people are annoying at night in PST/EST.
