There should be a cooldown on the guns (1 shot maximum every 5 -10 seconds or something), to stop them being so OP

iOldCP Council meeting exposed
•
27th November 2019, 06:24 PM
Jokes aside, I think that the iOldCP experiment just turned into a popularity contest cross sandbox instead of the story-driven game that OldCP was fun for.
With great power comes great responsibility and most of you have managed to abuse this within an inch of its life
In my opinion, there should be multiple wardens who should be kept somewhat secret (or at least just out of the main eye of the users) who keep the game running smoothly in the background whilst they ensure that the game remains balanced, but allow the users to decide who earns ranks amongst them. I don't trust many people to cope with the pressure of being in charge of everything, especially when you are friends with half the users, and so you can't blame SG too much for all these issues as 99% of people would have acted the same. If anything Damen should still be the only warden, but with more behind the scenes helpers so that more things can happen on a daily basis and so CZ can have different story lines running at once.
I think there will be a good discussion about it as realistically a successful user-ran iOldCP might one day be the only thing that can keep the OldCP format alive.
TLDR; Romeo should be Admodministrator Warden rank 6

Hi Returning,
I don’t think anyone is annoyed at you and you haven’t done any wrong.
That being said, I think you did maybe overreact to the whole “mocking” thing - you have to understand that Abu is Hash’s friend and was mostly mocking the point that Hash is no longer the same person that you were remembering him to be.
Even if it was a joke aimed at what you said, it wouldn’t have been anything personal and it’s always best to learn to take things like that on the chin. Sometimes a good life skill is to learn to laugh at ourselves and ignore others, otherwise you’ll spend your whole life being outraged at things which really don’t matter to you
Obviously if something does become personal then it’s best to reach out for help to others as nobody wants you to feel uncomfortable in the community.

gonna be honest i didnt really read this and i like that you werent attacking him like a bunch of other people were (according to what he told me on snap cause i dont use disc but i log on sometimes!) but honestly even if hes lying, which i guess we'll never know and im not saying he is, i fully dont know why it matters so much. like i cant rlly see the point in trying to figure out if hes lying or not except feeling proud for like 20 mins,,,
Because I got called out by everyone as an ass for saying I didn’t think he was telling the truth
So I explained my reasons in a post, which I think is reasonable?

Thank you. I'm not sure why I'm getting so much hate for stuff on discord when I haven't said anything offensive outside of a joke mood, this is partly why I made the post.
I respect that people are going to take Gamer's side as a friend, but the fact money has been exchanged in a situation where some lies have been told is somewhat uncomfortable for me.
I too understand that some muslim communities are treated badly in regions such as manchester, but the idea that a cop called a random boy a member of ISIS before getting attacked by that boy is made extremely unlikely by the fact that the police were "dismissed" and given a 2 year sentence for it. This would have undoubtably hit mainstream news on a national level, but I can't find anything whatsoever on even a local level to Manchester.
If you are going to use your position in the community to then receive support for something (especially when that support is financial), I think it's important to be fully transparent and I don't feel this has been the case at the very least. The ability to be beleived on everything you say going forward just because of your past actions is fairly dangerous when you are a role model to so many.

Hello DSGHQ
I want to give my opinion on the recent situation regarding a member being potentially sent to prison. I believe I'm well within my right to do so as long as I remain respectful and refrain from breaking any DSGHQ rules, as I will.
First of all, like everyone is, I am a big fan of Gamer and think he is a generally great guy and someone I have been friendly with for years. Because of that reason alone, as Damen rightly suggested in his youtube video, I will give him the benefit of the doubt in this post based on the possibility of him actually having just been released from prison, as I sympathize that it would be a stressful situation to be in if true.
That being said, I think there are a few things that need answering due to the fact that he has now received $100+ from the community in support (not judging those who have donated, it is very generous of you), as some things realistically do not add up.
1) Gamer would have been a first-time offender and match the majority of the criteria for avoiding a prison sentence.
As already mentioned by me and accepted as fact by the majority of the community, Gamer is a generally peaceful guy and someone that has shown great control over his emotions in many situations. This, therefore, makes the likelihood of him being in the situation of being arrested in the first place fairly small. What's even smaller is the chance of him having the capability to then get charged for the assault of an officer whilst resisting arrest.
Now, let's say Gamer did somehow act out of character so much to the point where he was in this situation, there are some factors to really consider:
First, Gamer will have had no history of offences (to the very best of my knowledge), which would be taken into account by any court hearing.
Second, Gamer's age as being a young man/teenager would also be taken into account and therefore any sentencing would be less harsh for him than that of a fully matured adult.
Third, the alleged assault on the officer whilst assisting the arrest was not premeditated and therefore far less serious than if this was planned.
Why do these things matter? They affect how a UK court can determine the offence category of a case, ranging from 1 (the most servere), to 3 (the least severe). The only way that you can be sentenced to a prison term for this offence is if it was bad enough to be considered a band 1 offence -meaning that you caused excessive harm and were fully culpable.
Band 1 offences can land you between 12-51 weeks in custody, whereas band 2-3 will only provide you with a community service sentence (unpaid work etc) or a warning and fine.
As mentioned, it is extremely unlikely that Gamer would have had the capability to injure a police officer to the point of it being classed as severe, and based off of a few of the factors I raised (there are more which also go in his favour for avoiding a sentence), he would definitely not pass as being a band 1 offender and therefore escape a sentence.

2) You simply aren't allowed a cell/mobile phone in prison
This for me is the biggest thing that has raised suspicion against everything being true. UK prisons are notoriously strict on not allowing prisoners to access their personal phones, whether it be a young offenders institute or adult prison. The idea that you would be allowed access to a cell phone for even 30 minutes 2x a week is ludicrous as they are instantly confiscated from you upon entering and not returned until you are released.
Even if it was allowed twice a week (or however frequent it was), again there are things to consider:
First, are the prison guards really going to sit around and charge up your phone for you ahead of your next use? As you don't have a phone charger in your pocket when you are arrested, I doubt the prison stocks spares for the devices of all inmates.
Secondly, why would you spend the vast majority of that time messaging people on discord instead of your actual family or the irl friends you were with before being arrested as a group?
Finally, why would a prison that is designed to remove people away from the ability to get involved in and organize crime, allow inmates to message the outside world on unmonitored messaging platforms such as discord?
The above points alone outweigh the fact that he stuck to only messaging people on an infrequent basis, in my opinion.

End points:
Again, I do want to give Gamer the benefit of the doubt but I find it very hard to believe at least everything he has said. Perhaps some of it is true, however I think even in that case it is hard to deny that at least a large part of the story will have been dramatized.
Playing Devil's advocate, I also can't see a reason for why Gamer would lie about this, but that doesn't compensate for the fact that his story doesn't match up with realistic necessities that are required to enable this all to be true.
Feel free dislike this post and delete it for whatever random reason you can somehow justify, I don't care. I just really think it's an unlikely position to be in, and that when someone is asking for money in relation to a situation like this and receives $100+ from people as a result, it is ironically a consequence that they are innocent until they prove that they were guilty of the actual crime (of which we have no proof whatsoever).
I'd prefer to go back and forth between people who are able to prove that I am wrong, opposed to just random abuse in the replies.
PS. no need to send hate to gamer if you agree with what I have mentioned

I was in it for just a short amount of time and saw it as a popularity driven clique that was used by the girls in charge to manipulate and bully other users behind closed doors. Can’t say there has been a use for it these past 2-3 years...
