I know there has been a lot of drama over the past few days, and even though I rarely address it in posts like these I felt the need to offer my perspective.
I have NEVER seen Damen so upset over something in eight years. Remember, he is human too! I think we all owe him an apology.
There was definitely wrong on both sides, but remember that a lot of what was going on happened out of the public eye. Sled behaved immaturely. If she had been more respectful and calm when speaking to Damen none of this drama would have happened.
Put yourself in Damen's shoes. Even though he works full-time, he has spent the last 10 years spending hundreds of dollars to make this website for all of us. Yes, Damen historically is not the best at responding to mail and Discord messages. But that's because he singlehandedly has to fix all bugs and create new content for P3D, OldCP (including CZ, create, updates), Forums, Wiki, etc. Having patience is key. Even Chelsey and I wait days sometimes for a response. Please be patient!
It takes a lot to earn Damen's trust. It took Sled years and she rose to the very top of the ladder. This is not the first time where Sled messed up and did not handle it in a mature fashion. Remember the time she got banished from the South? Administrators are expected to behave more maturely and handle issues privately. I don't want to cause more drama about bringing up specifics, but I assure you that there was a lack of maturity and respect for Damen by Sled (which I know she is sorry for) that really upset him. Damen considered Sled a friend and gave her the benefit of talking to her on Discord, but then after she would completely disregard his feelings and made the drama worse. No hate towards Sled. I know she was just upset, but we must acknowledge the lack of maturity and lashing out that led to hate towards Damen.
It is never ok to gang up on someone, and that is what I saw happen to Damen. Again, folks thought they knew the whole story when in reality they knew a fraction of it. Please have some respect for the guy who works endlessly to make us new content and remember there are two sides to every story. If you have an issue, of course raise it, but please do so respectfully. The best way to get Damen to consider an idea is to talk to him about it in private, or by making a respectful forum post.
As I have said before, remember this is a game. Please remember that DSGHQ is not Damen's only job and to be respectful that he has other commitments. He gives as much as possible for this game, trust me.
Sled, I personally am asking you to accept your ban with dignity and come back refreshed and ready to rejoin the community. Please stop all of the negativity that I have been seeing on Discord. We all are so grateful for your help and friendship, I would hate to see it ruined by one issue.

So I might catch a lot of heat for this but there's a lot of drama and this needs to be said. I love Sled and she's my friend too so this isn't a hate post on anyone. It's just me trying to calm everyone down because it's a lil harsh rn.

Removing Sled from the community
I've been noticing a lot of hate toward Damen from a few people on discord, some moods talking down on Damen, etc. I just feel that all the hate toward Damen rn is VERY unnecessary. I understand everyone has a love for Sled and are pretty torn over how she got banned (even I am). They're saying Damen is biased, he's let other peoples mistakes slide, etc. I personally feel like that's really not true. Everyone has faced their consequences depending on the severity of their actions. I feel like nobody should really be picking sides. Just know that Damen had his reasons to remove Sled from the community. This also does NOT mean that Sled is a bad person, she's great but we don't know the full story of everything that happened. This is something that they should be dealing with themselves personally rather than so many people just showing Damen hate because he did what he had to do. It's not our business even though it was made public, but what do you expect Damen to do when an administrator is demoted and removed from the community. He can't act like it never happened and go about his day without everyone just wondering where Sled disappeared to randomly.
Damen obviously didn't ban Sled because she criticized him, yet a lot of people say this is the reason. She was honest with him and Damen even said that he appreciates when his admins are upfront with him, and not just some "yes men."
I've heard many people complaining about how Frogs has done so much yet he's only been given a 1 week BOS. The difference between Frogs and Sled is that Frogs is basically a crimezone character at this point who was only breaking rules in a penguin game. He doesn't really have much of a relationship with Damen. Meanwhile, Sled and Damen seem to be really close friends and this was something that affected their relationship on a personal level, which led Damen into doing what he did. Again, this isn't hate toward u sled ily But I think people get my point.
Sriram was banned and removed from the community many times. So you can't give Damen heat for keeping him around... because he didn't.
I think I got my point across and I just wanted to try and calm down the drama and minimize the hate toward Damen because he really doesn't deserve it. He did it for personal reasons. He has a close relationship with Sled and he felt hurt just like we all would in this situation.
But ye... We love Sled and we love Damen. Neither of em deserve hate, they are great at what they do and they're both great people in general.

I will be taking a permanent leave from the community. I have been banned for jokes made outside of the community and I did not mean them in a realistic way but rather a joke. I called with Damen and tried to explain this to hm and also apologized to him repeatedly while crying uncontrollably but I don't think what I did is forgivable.
SO yeah I'm sorry. I failed everyone and damen. I have never banned anyone for stuff like this outside of the community because it is out of our reach unless it came to extreme harassment. In the past there has been a user who put me down repeatedly and told me I'm mentally insane and retarded and I expressed this to Damen but he did not do anything about it. If anyone wants pictures let me know. I emailed him privately about the issue in the past but the images are too inappropriate to post here, that's how bad it was.

How will you handle the roles and responsibilities?
I will handle the roles and responsibilities by following them to a tee. For example, I will follow the orders of the LOTB and follow the Imperial Bank spreadsheet successfully and with confidence in my abilities. Furthermore, with my assigned roles, I shall make rank payments on time - fully understanding that Bank money is only for rank payments and that any information must be kept strictly confidential. I can also clearly voice any opinions in a structured and non-invasive way, making sure I work well with my team and keeping on top of things like spreadsheets.
How do you reach the requirements?
As a member of the community since 2014, I have gained a reputation admirable enough to have been promoted to many ranks across the years such as News Reporter, Snaildom Beta Tester, Forums Moderator and OldCP Moderator. During this time, I have learnt many simple skills in the game such as transferring gold between accounts on OldCP and the ability to effectively work alongside a team; something I have been doing for many months now with my teams in moderation. Additionally, I have committed no act of treason across my 6yr stay in the community. Whilst I have gained skills in-game, skills outside of the game have blossomed in these 6 years, meaning I have full confidence in performing simple mathematical operations such as: Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Why I should be chosen
My confidence in meeting the roles, responsibilities and requirements adumbrates the potential I can unlock if I were to be chosen for the job. Moreover on the aforementioned, prior knowledge on things such as how a simple economy should work insinuates that I am able to use my contextual skills in any task of a more intensified difficulty. The fact that I have obtained a vast amount of experience and a cluster of important ranks all under my belt doesn't only conote the qualities I discussed in previous paragraphs, but it shows that I am: Trustworthy, mature, co-operative and am always looking to improve on myself or help others around me improve.

hello
I will be taking a break from admin to pursue my dream of becoming a web developer/web designer. I cannot handle both at the same time, so I am stepping down for a bit so I can focus on this and my life. When I return I will be almost as good as Damen at making websites I hope.
I will return on/around August 27th.
