It implies, that's all it does. Witches arent evil or Occult that's obvious considering how much we keep saying and doing good things. You're entitled to your opinion.

Now, I obviously can’t comment on to what extent someone follows a teaching as that also differs from person to person even within the same religion. That being said, you can surely see why this would cause Damen an internal conflict as ultimately he is the person responsible for the game.
Users demanding that witch craft and magic should take place in the game despite this is somewhat disrespectful in my opinion. If the game was ran by a Muslim then you wouldn’t expect him to allow a Mosque bombing gang to run riot or have to Mohammed drawing contests during the next game night.
2) Damen probably should have explained his reasoning better and provided an alternative from the start
With the previous in mind, I don’t think anyone would have been against witches being removed if the reasoning was explained beforehand in more detail and they were allowed to switch to an alternative from the start.
I sympathise with Melian etc as I get that it would feel pretty harsh to have everything taken away at the drop of a hat and be made to feel like the bad guy all of a sudden. In the eyes of the “witches”, I guess that we have to also be sensitive to the fact that they don’t share the belief that witches are evil and therefore to punish someone out of the blue based on your own faith (without attempting to offer a solution that keeps both sides happy), was obviously going to anger people.
I know that the offer to become “Vulture Shamans” has now been made which is great and hopefully people will accept this.
3) The level of respect has been appalling lately
I don’t have anything against people respectfully giving their criticisms, but borderline insulting Damen for his beliefs by calling it “lunacy” is offensive and calling the game and community terrible off the back of one decision is completely ungrateful.
There is clearly a lot of work that goes into the various projects that we’ve been gifted access to over the years and not once has anything been asked for in return.
Even some members of the staff team that have built up a clique-like following because of their position in the community seem to think that because they have influence means that they are able to speak in a way which mocks the owner.
If you’re reading this thinking “Jdutr is such a kiss ass” because I seem to defend DSGHQ a lot, then I don’t mind. I never beg to anyone for anything and I don’t ever do so with the intention of getting something in return. I appreciate that if anything, we receive more than what we deserve given the attitude of so many people in the community.
3) Conclusion
Damen does need to work on not rushing his communication in order to spare people’s feelings which I’m sure he admits.
We as users need to focus on communicating our angers and in a way that is respectful and appreciative of everyone.

I'm ignoring this for.. Obvious reasons Jdutr. I don't think we're going around worshipping the Devil at all, or saying his religion is a lie or anything like that. So we don't match the definition of a Witch. Names are names, actions are actions.

many are confused as it's just some sort of harmless roleplay, and they are not of any evil kind. but this isn't the issue, the issue isn't that they're not evil or that it's just a bit of roleplay, it's that damen doesn't like witches.

before you hate on damen for his actions, do try talk it out and gather reasoning behind his actions. remember that damen is the only reason we all know each other today and have made incredible memories since 2012. he works for hours daily for us and we don't thank him enough. honestly whilst you are all mostly upset about his decision, just accept it. change your concept from witchery to something else. damen owns and develops this game and he works hard for you all, so do even the littlest action for him and accept it.
conclusion
i understand that the witches right now have put in a ton of effort in to what they're doing and it's just a bit of fun, but i hope that everyone can just move past today and continue your concept in a new light, for example i think you guys are birds now? or something. i don't know, i don't pay attention to it.

I'm not the unreasonable one, all I have done is try to reach out again and again. If he doesn't want to seriously discuss this, despite saying he does, there's not much we can do door.
We rebranded ourselves, we're not at all like the Witches, but apparently we're not "unique" enough, we compromise his "values" or he just doesn't like the Witches.
Anyway, we're the Vulture Shamans now, and all of this could've been avoided.
A massive THANK YOU, to all the Witches/Supporters for backing us all the way. Apparently a name change was all we needed! Tysm honestly, we managed to bring about some change, which is quite difficult in Oldcp. Thank you to Door for being really kind and civil, and I do not have any hate towards anyone they just have different views is all

I do need to check my mails more, I will endeavour to improve on that. As for CZ, this has always been the case. People didn't like black hawks back in the day, and they don't like the forest CZ. But actually, a lot of people do, and its those people who work to get into it who get noticed eventually.
If they are good then what is the problem with them? There are so many other problems on oldcp that are ACTUALLY bad, dont you think we should focus on fixing those before we go ahead and get upset about something that causes no harm to others. I don't know just my opinion.
Good or bad... witches, vampires, rituals and sorcery is outlawed from the game. It wasn't always like that, hence the shift away from the djinn and magic we've seen. This isn't something I just made up today, its been a change in direction I've been working on for months.
If getting rid of them is something you truly believe in and it will help the game go in a new direction, then I guess I have should no reason to argue with you. It's your game after all and you can't please everyone. Maybe a poll should be created to see what majority thinks?
Thanks. Sometimes I have to make decisions the majority don't like. I can't always people please. I have my values and that's what I have to stick to. The occult has no place on oldcp.
We're not Occult in any way, this isn't a cult, people join in because they want to and it's fun. I don't force anyone to do anything "Occult" or "Evil". I'm not sure what else to tell you, but i'm not lying.

I think it's safe to say the majority don't agree with his. I have made my point on discord if you want to read it, explaining how Witches are different.

Why do you have a problem with Witches and not Vampires?
I do have a problem with vampires. Kill the vampires too, as far as I am concerned.
People should play the game the way they want to play it, and not have an admin make them all KOS. WE'RE NOT AFFILIATED WITH CZ, please don't drag a bunch of people into this.

Rituals don't matter, they're just sessions where we speak to eachother, please do not try and kill loads of innocent people who are trying to make the game better!!

Chelsey, i'm sorry but i disagree with you. I can guarantee if he threatened you irl on discord, you wouldn't just ignore it, you'd try to make sure someone who's actively damaging the userbase and creating a culture of hatred was punished and or stopped from doing it again. Sadly, no one seems to be willing to say "NO" to Frogs.

I agree with the revival system, but I don't agree when CZ actors that shouldn't be able to revive like SWINE, revive people. This just makes the whole system pointless, if this is the case then everyone should just be revived.
