Yes, the old days when I didn't have to worry about doing homework and getting it in on time. The times when I was immediately sent home if I so much as threw up once, or said that I wasn't feeling too good; when the adults knew the difference between physical and mental pain.

The times when teachers simply told you to get your small homework assignments done as soon as you possibly could if you missed a day, rather than telling you that you HAD to get your missed homework assignments done and in by the very next day, or you'd be given a detention.

The days when I could get away with not participating in classes, and still end up passing; when classmates would share their snack time snacks of apple slices with me, because I couldn't afford to bring my own snack to school every day; when I actually got along with the teacher I had in 4th grade. The times that I actually enjoyed gym class, even though I got hurt a lot of the time; when I didn't have to deal with the monthly cycle.

When you didn't have to worry about fitting in with everyone else; when your appearance didn't matter; and when your sexuality meant nothing to the people around you.

I miss the old days, the memories I have in those times were amazing. I remember being able to pronounce Nebuchadnezzar correctly when I was about 5 years of age. I remember having two best friends named Avery and Hermione in kindergarten, a year before I moved schools. I remember when I was bullied by a girl named Starr in preschool, that memory wasn't as great, but thankfully Starr and I eventually became friends.

What are some of YOUR memories from the old days, as in when you were younger?
