Hi. I'm making this discussion to bring up a serious matter about depression. Today I found out that this kid I met a few times killed himself. He was only 14 years old. His dad had moved him here from Colombia about a year and a half ago. I think he became depressed about it because Colombia is extremely different from the United States. Technology like iPhones and Androids and such aren't as common in Colombia as they are in the United States among youth. In third world countries like Colombia, kids are usually always outside and social unlike in the United States where most people are on their phones or laptops all day. When he lived here, he would spend most of his time on the computer and playing games because he didn't really have that many friends and didn't speak that much English. He wanted to go back to Colombia to visit his mother but his father wouldn't let him unless she payed for it. He began cutting. He felt alone and trapped and figured that swallowing pills was the only way out. I'm making this post because hearing this news today really got to me and I wanted to let whoever is reading this to know that if you're ever feeling suicidal or depressed, remember that there is so much to live for and things to see and people to meet and there's people that care about you and need you and no matter how bad things may seem at the moment, it will get better.

Agreed 100%. You can't mock someone's pain until you've actually experienced it.

Eh, posts and discussions are more for discussing important matters while moods are more for socializing within the community. So I don't think moods are really necessary to be affecting your reputation. Good post though.
