[Interior, Castle Gates, Dusk]
[ From throughout the grey bricked floor, and below the looming night sky above, forth rises large wooden beams to which make up the gate. An Elf steps forward and turns to a small crowd of multiple species and upbringings.]
Elf: For naught hath we suffered such vicious destiny; forth right than we must bring darkness to its bane.
(For not have we suffered such cruel destiny, forward we must bring darkness to it's end.)
Crowd: *Murmuring* Aye, Aye- must we charter this quest, and defeat the dragon! 'Ere! 'Ere!
(Aye, we must plan this quest, and defeat the dragon! Here Here!)
Elf: Applause brethren, our noble sacrifices here shall brook thee peace seekers great relief!
[The crowd and stand alone Elf break into chanting and jeering, shorter more stout Dwarves sip mead readily from hearty wooden mugs. Stepping forward from the crowd, is a distinctly tall man to who other men look at with reverence. Bearing gold crown atop his head, adorned in fine silver and chain lain iron, the man nods and pulls a blade from his sheath rested besides his thigh.]
Man: For too many a decade hath we suffered steep droves of our hard earned profit stolen by yonder dragon. And too many epochs passed, where they sprout the dragon-kin. Those who take in evil willingly are thou't unholy burdened by their sinful appraise.
(For too long have we suffered our profits stolen by the dragon, and too many lives have passed, where others have sprout the dragon's family, and those who take in the dragon willingly, are burdened by their attempt to ascend.)
[the crowd stirs once more, as the winded man gains breath and continues speaking.]
Man: But now we stand idol, intent and vengeful against the horde adorned in cloaks of accursed scales. Thine who utilizes the dragon's power as thy own, is no more but a traitor to the blood that courses through their veins.
(Now we stand still, ready, and vengeful against the army of scale cloaked warriors. Anyone to who utilizes those same powers of the dragon, as their own, is a traitor to their own kind.)
[Lower the sword, the man points its tip towards the black winding road visible through the now open and aloft gates. The crowd breaks into more cheering, as the king laughs alongside their grizzled whoops and hollers.]
Man: Bid thine ice blood, for to ride into hell with company is a right and true death for the likes of us! Last kin of the layman, and sworn knights of the land! And to any threat to the instated order of which we garner so much reprieve, WE SHALL SEE LAIN LOW! HURRAH!!
("Turn your blood to ice. For us to ride into hell together, is a right and true death for us! Last descendants of the normal folk! Sworn knights of the land! And any threat to our land, shall be killed! HURRAH!
[Thus, forth rode the armies of man, elf, dwarf, and ogre towards the hauls of the dragonic mainland, in tides of cheer.]
[The End]
