Damen decided to ipban Jack’s accounts (lokigang and lokigangv2). I’m guessing it was to avoid anymore dislike raiding against her and the fact that it was basically going against his community values of respect (although I hate referring to these values because they are very vague and I know how much y’all love to get specific).
I was unaware of this, and the modlog doesn’t specifically tell us the usernames of people who get IPbanned for some reason so I had no idea who was banned.
Once finding out about it, (and to my fault, I did not realize Hashir was trying to contact me about something serious because I was at work until late at night & then had to go back early the next day so I didn’t check if he sent me messages so I take blame for that), I quickly tried to unban Jack and eventually succeeded after figuring out how to unipban him.
He was not supposed to be IPbanned, and I think Damen was trying to send a statement to anyone involved in the dislike raid. And about the topic being locked, I just found it really unnecessary to keep it open to argue with someone over something that was going to get handled the way the OP requested it to, and I didn’t want anything to escalate. I figured since I was going to unban Jack it’d be fine to close the topic, kind of like closing a case.
I don’t think anything was done to specifically target Jack, it was just mainly Damen trying to stop anything more from happening. Myself and the rest of the staff had nothing to do with the unfair banning and I stand by my statement that no one will be banned unless this happens again, now that there is a rule in place.
