Personally, I didn't even have to read the entirety of this discussion to see where everything was going. I feel like, at times, people within this community forget that every single one of us regardless of what our rank is, where we stand within the community, or what we practice within the DSGHQ at the end of the day is just a humanbeing logging onto a community, to essentially construct and maintain an image of who they desire to be within this community. The only reason I can say this is because I was under an alias from 2013-2020.
We as a whole need to accept each other, and stop associating the people we see around us with what they do or say on here. We're all human, and frankly, we all have flaws. Rouge is an amazing person, and I have been lucky enough to speak to her on multiple occasions, I have a rather decent judgement of character, and I can tell you 100% that Rouge is an outstanding person inside and out, and I feel like we should all take a second to get to know a person for all of them, and not just the image they have created for themselves here on the DSGHQ, not everything is as it seems.
Thank you.

Federation of Isles

I'd like to announce that the isles of Providence, and Das have coalesced and formed the first-ever Federation of Isles. With Flame and Rouge inactive, I am in command of Eclipse right now and won't have time to see to the day-to-day tasks of running an island first hand so I will be selecting Fable as the Governor for my land Providence (think king regent). Now for Das, Ollo has joined the Federation and will continue to govern under my leadership as the Governor of Das. Wardens will have full control over what they do with their land but must remain loyal to the Federation, after all, Loyalty is an admirable trait to possess. I will be leading the federation as Chancellor of the Federation of Isles, and Orbay as Premier (my second in command). The federation does not align itself with the Forest, or Draconians, so all rulers are welcome to become governors under the Federation in exchange for full Eclipse military support. If not, I respect your choice to remain independent. I also invite Damen to form an alliance with this new nation as we can assist each other via trade, warfare, and expeditions to possible new islands if more get added.

I like the idea of longer wars. In real life, it takes a long time to capture areas etc. Im not sure how to quantify that when people log on and off and different times and anyone can stand and occupy areas. It'd maybe have to be a series of rounds decided by separate contracts. Maybe certain lands will require 3 rounds to take, depending on the importance of the land.

That is true, so force signing is needed after 3 attempts
Perhaps we island rulers should come together and do the p3d geneva conventions so we can draw up some rules of war so we can have penguin war crimes.

Do you think you could implement an in-game mechanic for rounds of wars?

When declaring war, the recipient of the war declaration should only get to deny it once before the war is forced.
Wars should be allowed to be ongoing, wars are almost never over within a day it'd be cool if we could have long-term wars. The Drake vs Infernal Empire war should be a long term war as a lot is at stake for the Infernals and the Drakes are the Drakes ig idk lol
Geneva conventions (sorta) rather than only contracts, I think we should have a convention of users and staff alike to draft some rules of war, that way when the enemy side commits war crimes they can be punished accordingly, right now the only war crime I can think of is spawn kill but theres others we should draft up I think.
Bot limit, I think users should be allowed to spawn 10-20 bots at a time max if that doesn't already exist for most users, Ungoliant was spawning hundreds of bots and the game kept crashing for me.
More combat related but punching would be hilarious if it could be a learned skill

The current limit for refusing reasonable war contracts is 3. After 3 attempts to have a war signed, it can be force signed. Is 3 too many times in your opinion?
yeah, personally i think it should be 1 refusal

why are people disliking this? you're right.
I'm sure dice wouldn't be too shabby as king, however, dorval is apart of the empire and sg was merely a warden.
I'll say this again, feel free to declare war on us but expect a strong defense from us.

Alatar's genuinely one of the people most suited for the villain position in the community. The man's a scheming genius and well equipped to roleplay for the job. It's such a shame that so many hold a grudge/are biased against him.
If he's going to be more active this time, which I have seen him do more recently, then I don't see why he doesn't deserve a shot

agreed, he's more of the evil mastermind whereas I'm just a jerk.
