hi, i have a concern about passwords.

i sort of feel like the password system is unsafe.

if i decide to change my password, i have to private message an administrator my new one and old one. what if the administrator gets demoted? or if i made the password the same as my email or credit card? i know i don't have to make the password 'personal', but it's still awkward that they know it.

idk is there a way that we could change our password without having to tell an administrator? i understand that there may be situations where they need to access it, but that's rare. i don't think it's necessary for them to know it unless it's important- not because you've just decided to change it. aren't passwords commonly changed to avoid people accessing them?

update: i'm not accusing administrators of doing anything with our passwords. i just mean what if they get demoted? if they were to write our passwords down or even memorize some, that could be an issue. i'm sure that won't happen, but i'd really prefer being able to change it myself. could there be a "change password" feature in edit your account? maybe we could enter an old and new password?
