Iceghost Theory
•

Ok, so today I thought of a theory about the Iceghosts
First of all, this theory is going to sound incredibly stupid.
Ok, so a looooong time ago, Damen held a session at the thrones. If I remember correctly, Damen was talking about having another Old CP party. He wanted us to vote on a party, and I believe the vote was between a Frozen party and a Sherlock party. Frozen (obviously) won, but we haven't heard anything about that party since..... Or have we? Here's where this theory gets a little silly.
My theory is that Elsa (the ice queen lady in the movie) could be the leader of the Iceghosts. I'm not even kidding. Remember, she has the power to make the weird snowman dudes like Olaf and some other stuff. Plus, she's Disney. No one here likes Disney. It ruined Club Penguin. So perhaps she's making the Iceghost stuff, and trying to get rid of Old CP since we don't like Disney.
At first I started joking about Elsa being the Iceghost leader, but now that I thought about, it kind of makes sense.
Again, I realize this theory is extremely unlikely and it sounds pretty stupid. But who knows, maybe Elsa is the leader. Thanks for reading.

Search for Channels
•
31st July 2014, 05:02 PM
Today I have a new idea, and that is the ability to search for channels like how you search for discussions and users.
There's been numerous times where I am not aware of a channel, and when I try to search for it while using the channel tab, I can't find it.
It'd be much easier if it was added to the search tab because it's rather tedious to keep pressing "next" to find the right channel.
It's likely someone already had this idea, but so far I haven't seen any discussions on it. Anyway, thanks for reading. I'll be hoping this will be added.

Suggestion: Invisible Command

I actually think the admins can turn invisible, but I'm not too sure. It would be pretty handy for the moderators, though.

Sting's Mod Application
•
30th July 2014, 04:01 PM
Today I decided to create my first ever Old CP moderator application. I hope you'll enjoy it and consider promoting me to a moderator afterwards.
Username: Sting
Age: 14
Time Zone: Eastern Time
There's quite a lot of reasons why I think I should be promoted to a Old CP moderator. I believe I have lots of experience at being a mod. I was a moderator long ago in 2012. I was promoted in about a week, which is pretty quick for a new user. After a few months, my other account was promoted to a moderator. That means that I had two moderator accounts (R2D2 and Sting) at the same time. This proves that the staff members trusted in my abilities at such a young age (twelve years old) to moderate. I was a mod for about 9 months until I decided to take a break from the internet. 7 months later (January, 2013) I returned. I then became a mod twice once again, but resigned in April to take a break. So as you can tell, I have more than a years-worth of experience in being a moderator.
The only instances I have been demoted was because of resignation and speaking my opinion about the game in a negative fashion (which I am truly sorry for doing).
Another reason why I think I should be a mod is because I know when I should kick, ban, warn, etc. other users. I will not allow users to get away with any kind of harmful language, disrespectful behavior, or anything related to the reasons shown above.
I also know the plurality of the Old CP commands (/staff /room /addall /lastonline etc.). If a user wants to know some of the commands, I will gladly aid them and teach them to the user.
I think I should also be a moderator because I'd be pretty active. I usually come online at 2:00 PM EST, and then leave around 1:00 AM EST. I do occasionally take breaks in between those times, though. When school starts for me, I will most likely come online at 4:00 PM EST and leave at 9:00 PM EST.
Some other reasons are that I know many users who have wanted me a moderator. When I was a moderator, some users actually made a petition that got 60 signatures to prevent me from resigning. I believe this shows that many users enjoyed me as a moderator. Even some of the staff members have said that they'd want to recommend me as a moderator.
I also believe I should be a moderator once again because people said when I was a mod, I inspired them to become one too. In fact, I helped two friends of mine named Chewbacca and Texxy become moderators. I think this proves that if I'm a moderator, I could help some users achieve their goal of becoming a moderator also.
The last couple reasons are that people say I have really good advice, and I think that could come in handy if I was a mod. I could help people make decisions, including users, mods, and admins. I also think I'm pretty observant. If the administrators need help choosing some new moderators, I could suggest a few since I can usually tell who'd be a good choice. I'm also pretty friendly, so I believe the users would like me as a moderator. I aim to be a funny moderator, but I know when to be serious. I'll always do my job, but at the same time attempt to have fun with the users.
I unfortunately don't have any experience on being a moderator on different Club Penguin sites, but that's only because the other sites never sparked an interest in me. Old CP has always stood out to me, and that's why I stay here.
Again, I hope this moderator application has made you consider me being a moderator once again. I'd be glad to help out the site as much as possible. Thanks for reading.

If people think mods are not active, thats their opinion as I think that mods ARE active in their on special way. You should agree with this because it makes sense and it will also make even more sense in the future. Also, If mods weren't active, they wouldn't even be a mod because that doesn't make sense. Damen and many other admins chose these mods with their hearts, not because they're friends. And if Damen knew they weren't active, they would never become a mod. Take my advice, all mods, just keep going. You'll get there one day.

I'm not sure what you mean. Active in their own special way? That part confuses me. Being active means that you're online for an hour or more a day. That's what the mods are supposed to do. I don't believe there's special ways of being active. And I wasn't talking about Damen choosing the moderators. I don't really even know where I mentioned "Damen promotes his mods only because they're his friends." I realize Damen chooses his mods wisely, and I do like his choices. After awhile though, some mods really do get inactive. There's been many cases where that has happened. I really just don't agree with your post.

True, the kiss up situation needs to be handled in some way... But I don't think it's ever going to stop. I do agree though.

This is so true. Some mods are inactive and that's not good when people have reports. And why do people want mods to not have fun at all?
Well, I just feel like some users think the moderators aren't supposed to goof off at times. Old CP is a game, and you're supposed to have fun on it. Why not let the moderators take a break and have a little fun too?

Ok, lately there's been something going around about moderators "not doing their job". This subject kinda interested me, so I decided to post my thoughts about it and maybe make a few suggestions.
First of all, saying the mods do not do their job at all isn't too smart. It may seem like they're not paying attention, but they really do. I'll admit that they may start talking to a friend and ignore a question, but that's only because they can have fun too. Remember, Old CP was created to bring back the fun memories of the old days of Club Penguin. You guys make it sound like the moderators aren't supposed to have fun at all, be super serious, and do their job perfectly. They came here the reason you did, and that reason was to relive old Club Penguin and have fun. I understand they really do have to moderate, but let them have a little fun too.
Now, I do have to admit the mods are just a little inactive... It seems like every time I'm on, there's always the same moderator(s). I realize the others could be busy, or the time zones are different, but when something important happens, they all seem to be online. For example, on the most recent mod competition (Game Of Mods) they all seemed to be online. I saw about 7 of them online at the same time. Once the competition ended, it seemed to go back to the same moderators online again. It just feels like the other mods are getting a little lazy, and not getting on as much. Again, I understand people have busy lives, and all the different time zones may mess stuff up, but I just find it a little strange. Some people even say TheOneAndOnly is the most active "mod" (which definitely isn't true).
Since we have the new moderator recruiting system that Damen created, I'm hoping that we'll have a few more moderators online. Perhaps when making moderator applications, you guys can start putting your time zones on them. I think that would help have more of a variety of mods, and so that we can have at least one mod online during the day.
Basically, I think the moderators are fantastic at their jobs, I just find them to be a little inactive. If this offends the Old CP moderators, I'm really sorry. I'm actually hoping that this post will encourage some of you to be online a little bit more. Like I said, the mods are extremely good at their job, I just think there's some room for improvement in the inactive area.
I hope this post changes some of your guys' views on the moderators. Thanks for reading.

Hmm... I'd have to say
1.) Batman
2.) Batman
3.) Batman
4.) Batman
And just for a bonus, I'll throw in a 5th favorite.

Yeah, people really need to know that Old CP has only been hacked once. It's extremely unlikely for it to get hacked. If you were hacked, get some proof. It seems like no one ever has any.
