A friend is a gift you give to yourself. Friends are those people in your life with whom you do not have any blood relation. It’s a relation of love and affection towards other people.
Your friend is someone with whom you feel comfortable and can easily share your thoughts and feelings. You do not have to think twice when you are with your friends. A true friend loves you unconditionally, understands you, but never judges you and always tries to support you and give you good advice. The friendship of Krishna and Sudama is a great example of true friendship.
A friend is someone who knows all about you and still loves you.” ¯ Elbert Hubbard

"The Willingness to Undertake Adventure is a Necessary Part of a Happy Existence"
People in today's world lack a sense of adventure. It seems that a person's life would have a little adventure in it, or it wouldn't be very enjoyable. Adventure in my opinion, is one of the essence of life. Today, people are very cautious about jumping into something new and adventurous. It makes you wonder how dull their lives really are. The cautious ones need to realize that the willingness to undertake adventure is a necessary part of a happy existence.
A variety of sports are adventurous to a lot of people today. Some people race cars, living their lives a quarter mile at a time. Skydivers jump out of an airplane, to escape their daily stress and push their adrenaline to the max. Boxing, two individuals in the ring battling it out for points. Xtreme sports, such as mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding ¦ect. are all ways to be adventurous. People choose these sports to escape the real world, and have fun pushing their limits.
Some people consider their careers to be an adventure. Who would have thought that someone's job would be an adventure. Police risk their lives on a daily basis, not to say that you need to risk your life to be adventurous. Lawyers, with the thrill of winning their case, or even the fear of losing their case, their career is adventurous. Fireman running through a blazing building to make sure everyone is evacuated. Paramedics arriving on the scene of an automobile accident or shooting, that's excitement. Doctors who have people's lives in their hands daily. All of these careers are different, but have one thing in common ¦adventure and excitement.

CHICAGO AIRPORT FIRE
Chicago (AP) – A contract employee suspected of setting a fire at a suburban Chicago air traffic control center brought two of the nation’s busiest airports to a halt for hours Friday, sending delays and cancellations rippling through the air-travel network from coast to coast. Authorities quickly ruled out any ties to terrorism, but the ground stoppage at O’Hare and Midway airports immediately raised questions about whether the Federal Aviation Administration has adequate backup plans to keep planes moving when a single facility has to shut down. By midday, nearly 1,800 flights in and out of Chicago alone had been canceled, and more cancellations were expected. A few flights began taking off and landing again after a nearly five-hour gap. But the planes were moving at a much-reduced pace, officials said, and no one could be sure when full service would resume.
TALIBAN OFFENSIVE
Kabul (AFP) – Afghan security forces on Saturday fought back against a major Taliban offensive in the east of the country after the militants killed up to 100 security personnel and civilians, beheading 12 of them, officials said. This summer’s fighting season has seen worsening violence with the Taliban gaining ground in several provinces as US-led NATO troops withdraw and the government in Kabul deadlocked over disputed election results. A series of coordinated attacks in the last week have focused on Ajristan district in the strategically important province of Ghazni, after recent offensives in Kandahar, Helmand and Logar.
MUBARAK IN COURT
Cairo (AFP) – Former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak arrived at court on Saturday for the verdict in his murder retrial over the killing of protesters during the 2011 uprising that toppled him. The 86-year-old was flown by helicopter to the court at a police academy on the outskirts of Cairo, after he was wheeled on a stretcher from a military hospital in the capital, an AFP correspondent and police said. Mubarak, who ruled Egypt for three decades, is charged alongside seven of his security commanders with involvement in the deaths of hundreds of demonstrators during the 18-day uprising.
LIBERIANS IN US
Washington (AP) – The Obama administration will not deport Liberian immigrants back to the epicenter of the Ebola outbreak in West Africa for at least two more years. President Barack Obama on granted Liberian immigrants a legal protection, called a “deferred enforced departure.” The decision extends deportation protections for Liberian immigrants that have been in place for more than a decade. The government first granted temporary protective status to Liberians during that country’s bloody civil war, which started in 1991 and didn’t end until 2003. That original protection expired in October 2007. President George W. Bush then approved deferred enforced departure for the community.
WOMAN BEHEADED
Oklahoma City (AP) – A man fired from a food processing plant beheaded a woman with a knife and was attacking another worker when he was shot and wounded by a company official, police say. Moore Police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis said police are waiting until Alton Nolen, 30, is conscious to arrest him and have asked the FBI to help investigate after co-workers at Vaughan Foods in the south Oklahoma City suburb told authorities that he recently started trying to convert several employees to Islam. During Thursday’s attack, Nolen severed the head of Colleen Hufford, 54, Lewis said.
