Actually, "The Lounge" is for threads that don't fit the rest of the categories. And generalization is concluding that a certain thing applies to everyone. For example, someone says "ALL guys love video games". That's generalizing as not all guys love video games, just many. No generalizations in this.

Yes, without school, intelligence is an impossibility. Sure you want to go with that argument? School is just a common way to be smart and get where you want to be in life but there are multiple other ways. And that's not just a biased opinion, it's a fact. However, yes, when you're in school, rather than complaining, do what you need to do with a good attitude and go home.

I won't rant about people who take jokes seriously, I'll just give the main answer to the question:
For some time, I've wondered this too. I've never been able to understand why jokes are taken so seriously online. In real life too, but a little more commonly online. I'm not the type of person who handles jokes in a serious manner, (or even handles people seriously trying to be hurtful in a serious manner), but after thinking about it, I've realized the main accurate reason (not just a biased opinion) : when you say a joke on the internet, it's difficult to determine whether you're joking or not. We can't hear each other's voices so there's no tone in voice that says "joke", there's no smile we see, there's no anything. Even if you say "just kidding", it's still hard to tell in most situations because it's possible that you're just saying that it was a "joke" but secretely were sincere. Same thing with deciding whether or not someone's being sarcastic.

So yeah.

Hey guys, I'm going to be serious for the first time in forever. A lot of people come to me for help. A looot. A common subject that comes up is people not accepting them.

All right so something you have to think about is that no matter who you are, what you do, what you say, there will always be people who find reasons to not accept you. You could even find a cure for all illnesses and certain people will say you should've found it a lot sooner.

Before searching for the acceptance and love of others, ask yourself that if you were another person, would you love you? You'd most likely want to hang out with someone who's fun, happy, and confident. So bring out hidden qualities that you want others to see and love about you. For example, if you hate yourself for the way you look, you can't expect anyone else to love you for what's on the inside. Accept yourself for the kidness you have on the inside and then others will. If you don't have kidness, make yourself kind.

If you can't be that person because you aren't happy, you're most likely not living up to your true potential. Because if you think about it, unhappy people have nothing to be happy about because they haven't done anything important. Starting now, try to accomplish something you really want to accomplish. You will then be happier since you've done something with value and you can now be that person you'd want to be friends with.
