Rebellion
Melkor, the most powerful of their kind, rebelled against God, desiring worship for himself. He, along with several other un-named Forest Lords, became evil and created a rebellion against the forest. Their goal was to turn the forest into a dark wood wherein Melkor would be the god.
However, after many thousands of years, the rebellion ended and the rebels were abolished by the faithful Forest Lords. Turin Turumbar, a form of Accal the Mighty, was the hero whom saved the forest from Melkor.
Dwelling
Forest Lords dwell in a higher dimension, one invisible to mortal kind. But these beings do sometimes create their own bodies to be seen in the world by mortal kind.
