There could be a lottery which is like the national lottery and you have to pay gold to participate and choose your numbers. A mystery prize (like 100,000 pieces of gold, knight (if worthy) etc.) and a winning number would be chosen every 3 days and the person would get it.

Oh and 1 lottery number per IP address to avoid cheating.
