My Theory On Mais
Mais was writing his book telling the person who would find it he was the only surviver left and the dead bh became iceghosts. He was armed with a gun, he blocked the door so no iceghost could get him but a iceghost found him by probably using the secret door from the healing labs, Raegon or his Iceghosts could of possibly stabbed him to death or Mais used his gun but he ran out of bullets then he was stabbed to death and died. But the Iceghost or Raegon could of left the Knife to give us a clue, Mais had also dropped his gun after he died its possible because his gun is on the floor next to his body and it also shows the Iceghost Knife - Gamer

here's my theory:
So, Mais was writing in his diary about how he's the last bh alive. Then all of a sudden, Raegon comes in and slashes mais with an iceblade, the gun was out of bullets, so mais had
nothing to attack raegon with.
