The White Guard. A white guard, also nicknamed a slender guard due to their pale appearance, is a person/animal with a pure white skin that wields a sword and wears a black robe. They are the average size of their species and have a mask which is blue with pure white pupils. A white guard is commonly mistaken for an iceghost due to their appearance although their black robe is a distinguishable feature.

You're misusing words, What Quigley is trying to say is that slender means skinny not pale. Its meaning has nothing similar to pale.
