If we are talking about damn, ass, and hell, then I really don't think it is necessary to ban those words. People say dang, which is just a substitution for damn. People say heck, which people say instead of hell. And ass is just a synonym for butt. So if you ban ass, might as well ban butt too. Same with the other words. Someone should be punished for saying these words offensively, but I don't think these words should be banned because it really isn't bad to say "What the hell." Or "dammit!" Or whatever.

I think swearing shouldn't be allowed because those words aren't good for kids 6+ because if I saw I kids swearing I would freak out. And I think other parents would too. And anyways it would start a lot of Drama and more people getting their feelings hurt

Exacally and it also proves they don't read enough books so they don't know much words.

Oldcp already allows some swear words. Its not a good idea to have more because, this is a kids game, Damen designed it to be a kids game not a game for you to swear. This is not called swearcp.biz ;-; and if there was swearing this website would be a duplicate of cpps or what ever it is. I mean that's the most inappropriate website I have ever seen! I regret looking at it and trying it out. If we enabled swearing (which hopefully we won't) Then I most likely know that the website will start to get very inapp. And they're kids who want to enjoy the safe oldcp with no swearing. We are fine with the words we are aloud to use.

Yeah. Like im 8 and i never want to swear. And if people swear in front of children the child may learn how to swear.

I sometimes swear irl when i get mad (but not every time). I don't think swearing is allowed on oldcp, otherwise it ruins the game, it would be more of a cpps (teenager game).

Hell and damn can stay, but ass and crap is kind of a bad word to Australia, so i get uncomfortable when people say those words on oldcp.

Crap is not necessarily a "bad word" so THAT should probably stay. But the others, can get offensive.

Based on the majority of responses, I do agree with the fact that swearing shall not be allowed. Think about this.

1) What's the point of having staff members if we're allowed to swear. I do understand the fact that Moderators can be useful when it comes to bullying or harrasment. If you take a closer look, swearing and bullying are related because they're both unacceptable to use when it comes to younger children.

2) Speaking about younger children, most of the population of this community has it. Furthermore, we shouldn't get younger children to get exposed to that type of language. What if your parent comes in the room and sees a nine year old child swear. How would your parents feel about that? Your parents are here to guide you through life and try to make you feel successful.

3) Damenspike Games HQ is one of the many websites that restricts using bad language. Imagine not being able to participate in this community because swearing was allowed. I don't play other CPPS because of that rule.

4) As Damen pointed out in this discussion, swearing only decreased your vocabulary usage. Picture a day when OldCP is filled with swear words using over and over again. Wouldn't that be boring? I understand that this isn't an educational game, but this shouldn't be a, "gangster," game either.

Children is the main importance of this game.

If they want to swear, people should simply go to another CP game and enjoy their fun there. We want what's best for our audience and we should respect that rule.
