As you may have noticed, the 2016 campaign has started, and it is a very important subject to me.

Why can't we have our own campaigns here on DSGHQ?

The idea

My idea is that every user who meets certain standards can run for OldCP president. Every user running will have one week to make campaigns on forums (or they can get creative)After that week, users would vote for who to eliminate. It goes on until there are 2 users left.

Elimination

In order to eliminate a user, a user most get at least 10(?) negative votes. More than one person may get eliminated. If you get eliminated, you will get some gold, and a candidate badge.

Debates

There will be debates held by Emperor Damen, and all users must contribute, and answer questions from users. Every candidate must be asked a question. If you fail to miss 3 debates IN A ROW, you will be eliminated.

Redemption

A user who is eliminated will have one more chance to be added back into the campaign. If it is already down to two candidates, you cannot be redeemed. You must get 5 positive votes to be redeemed. IF negative out rule the positive ones, Damen will make the choice of redeeming you or not.

Campaigning

All funds are sponsored by the royal bank. Each candidate will start out with a fairly high campaigning fund. You can also use your own gold. You can spend this gold on campaigning! You can have a banner put on forums or oldcp, give an extra speech, or play media at the royal cinema.

Rules

If you curse, act silly during debates, or disrespect users, you will be eliminated. One user/candidate can tell Damen to eliminate a user, but there must be proof of the user breaking the rules. Damen and the user will have a discussion, which will decide if the candidate stays or leaves.

President

Say you are elected president. First you are greeted with a huge stash of gold, and a President badge. Second, people have the choice to apply for Vice President. After you choose one, you are now responsible for OldCP. You must listen to users' ideas and present them to Damen. This is like being a class president, you can be outnumbered by authorities. However you should be able to make logical decisions that will temporarily affect DSGHQ. The emperor may demote you or out rule you anytime.
