My hair color is caramel, a mix of blonde and a mix of brown. My sister always make fun of me because she believes the 'blonde stereotype'. The 'blonde stereotype' is a stereotype that was made in shows to be funny, and they think blondes are dumb. Yeah, sometimes I act dumb on purpose to be funny. Yet, I don't know why I let myself do that. I think arguing is useless, and no reason to stick up for me. It's useless humor, and I think she doesn't believe in that stereotype. For all of you who don't know what a stereotype is, a stereotype is what people expect out of you and it is a rumor sometimes. Usually people believe in stereotypes because they seen blondes act dumb on TV. Or in the past history, they have done bad. What if that new girl that has been kicked out of her past schools three times. You think you can't talk to her cause you think she is mean. What if that girl was kicked out for standing up to bullies and being too much mean to the bullies. Or she didn't get kicked out and that was a rumor, maybe she transferred. You judge them on what they are wearing and how they act, and you assume that's who they are. Sometimes girl's act dumb to get a guy. And sometimes boys pretend to be sporty to get a girl. How to break a stereotype is easy. Simply get to know that person first for a while, and you will see you judged wrong. The other way is to small talk her and ask her important questions like: "Are you new?" "People spread those rumors about you, are they true?" "What's your style?". Good conversation starter.
