Greetings,

Today I would like to create a wisdom discussion specifically dedicated to bullying. However before I begin I'd like to say a few things. This discussion is was suggested by the magnificent Lloyd, so therefore thanks for the remarkable recommendation. Secondly this discussion isn't at all pointed towards the DSGHQ. Bullying hasn't been that big of an issue for quite sometime on here [thanks to amazing staff]. So without further ado' I give you my wisdom discussion on bullying.

Bullying is truthfully constructed and often finished by a bully, a bully is a very complex person. Nonetheless he/she is someone who can't quite understand what their life is meant to be doing, and what they should do for themselves. Bullies are often rude, relentless, and reductive (reductive: crude). Yet its hard to understand the purpose of a bully. Lets get into more details of a bully...

A bully is someone who doesn't know what their fully doing. They're often mean to people, it can truthfully effect the victim. This can be mentally and or/ physically both are truly horrible. Yet thinking wisely the bully may have been bullied too. Perhaps their life is quite terrible therefore they have to make someone's life that much worse. Though its not proper or the right thing, this can surely be a positive thing to a bully. Though you may disagree. Bullies are people too and they have feelings, bullies are just a bit harder to crack. A bullies life isn't the proper life.

A victim on the other hand can range from anyone, including you. Its nearly guaranteed that you witnessed getting bullied and or/ saw someone get bullied. You as a victim will feel like complete rubbish, trash. You wont want to wake up, move, or even succeed. The life of a victim is entirely more or less going to war everyday of your life and its a very hard. You can't get out of it so easily either. Bullying can tug at your emotions causing you to wrench out. Nonetheless you're practically hanging on a ledge by yourself. Confused, dazed, and all alone you find yourself having thoughts. These thoughts may or may not cause you more hurt. Yet I assure with time you will get through it.

A bystander is someone more or less stuck in the middle of everything. They see it happening, they sense the emotions. Some run, some act. Some join a side and some simply do nothing. Yet being a bystander is quite hard at times. Sometimes you fret if you do something to stop it you too will find yourself being bullied. Therefore you don't do anything. You just did there watching. However the wisest thing you can do is comfort the victim; and tell an adult to to the bullying. You'll feel quite a lot better.

The Test
- I recommend doing this. -
Supplies:
  • Scissors
  • Paper (any size, normal notebook paper is recommended)
  • Tape [or anything sticky that is able to put things together]

Directions:
  • Take your paper and lay it flat.
  • Take your scissors (be careful) and cut out a little person [example will be down below].
  • Once you have a person cut out, look at it.
  • Now tear a piece off (could be the head, arm, leg, etc) and every time you tear a piece say something mean, something a bully would say [ex: "I hate you so much you poop-head."]
  • Once you tour the little paper-dude into pieces look at the pile of paper.
  • Now try putting it together, try fitting the pieces together properly.
  • While you tape it together say something nice [ex: You're the best, friend.]
  • Now you're complete.. your person should be back together.

Now the moral of that is when you now look at this paper person you'll notice its not perfect. You'll also notice it was hard to build the victim back up. Yet it was so easy to make the victim look horrible. Now think about this; in real life not everyone can get put together. Also as you look closely your paper-dude now has scars, these scars represent each bad thing this paper-dude (victim) has went through. Think wisely before you say something.

^ Does not have to look this detailed! It can look like a gingerbread man.. ^

Now there's multiple forms of bullying. Bullying can be done personally anywhere honestly. You'll find it mostly in real life & virtually (online, social-media). Either form is complicated and hard to deal with, and each form is simply horrible. Yet cyber-bullying is harder to catch. So if you ever, ever see it please screenshot it and tell a sight administrator or staff member (if its on a website with staff.. like the DSGHQ). You speaking up with surely change somebody's life.

In conclusion I'd just like to say I've had a thrill writing this. Its personally an honor to be able to write something and have it seen. I have so much closure knowing this discussion could have inspired someone to be a better person. Though you can't ban bullying from everywhere it is possible to stop it. So remember this discussion next time you see bullying and or/ if you're being bullied. Also if you're bullying someone simply stop, its not cool, it makes you look horrible. Virtually: to anyone being cyber bullied just know this; you can't see them, you can't hear them, they're nothing to you.. Thanks for reading and as always have a fantastic day my friends.

Sincerely,
-Sadie
