k guys, Choc is making another post that may start friendly opinion discussions. wooo!
*coughs* Okay, that's better.
(Nothing DSGHQ related. Not all my posts are like that, k?)
A lot of people tend to have a lot of opinions about stuff. Not just about DSGHQ, but other stuff outside of it. When people do state opinions, they have to be formal about it so that debate wars don't start and people won't get hurt. As long as the person is not rude about it, they can share as much as they want. I don't mind, others shouldn't too.
However, others don't like to "sugarcoat" their opinions, so they tend to say what's exactly on their minds. I find this quite effective in some places. It's good to speak what you think about a topic you think should be discussed. If we don't, then what's the point of talking? It's fine to be honest, but don't go too far with it. You can hurt people if you don't chose your right. Simple.
What people don't get is that when some people are being honest about their opinion, they take it offensively as if they were rude about it. Sure, if you deem it rude and the person who's saying it talks about it in a mean or disrespectful way, then yeah, its is. If the person is being honest but as formal as possible, then it isn't. Being honest and being rude are two separate beings.
Being Honest
Being honest is when you chose to speak from your mind, not sugarcoating anything for anyone. However, being formal and not trying to sound rude is quite important. You want to get your point across nice and clear, but don't want anyone to take it personally or deem you rude. Yes, some people do deem those people rude, but aren't.
For example, an interesting conversation I had on Minecraft.
Some friends and I were talking about fnaf. Since my friends were all die hard fans (one of the admin that knew one of my friends called them fnafaboos), I found talking about it hard, since I personally don't like it. They asked me if I like it or not..
Now, this conversation can relate because I was honest about what I thought about it, without putting them down or not looking rude. They were ok about it, though one girl thought I was dissing it and that she was gonna "tell foxy" That spawned a large argument between another user and her.
But, back to the topic.
Here is an example.
See there? I was speaking my mind, but I let them know that even though I don't particularly enjoy it as much as they do, I'm glad that they enjoy it themselves and that some genres are different for others.
Being rude
Being rude is when you speak your opinion in a disrespectful way. This means putting down other people or their opinions on a topic, not letting people speak their opinions and that "your opinion is the right one only" etc. They say their opinion, but don't chose the right words to say about it, or think that their opinion is right and everyone else is invalid.
Another example, a school argument.
A few students were arguing about a problem that occurred between them.
One student says that the other shouldn't of said a rude comment about a boy on the bus that morning. The other says that he thinks that he shouldn't get in his way, then says that he is wrong. The student then throws a rude opinion towards the other and leaves the room.
This student didn't want to hear what others wanted to say. He didn't want to hear his classmate's opinion, rudely said his comment about the boy on the bus and said his opinion about the other student. He was rude, and that's how you dont share an opinion.
Example 4.. Woo!
This is a rude way of saying what you think. Not only that you didn't be as fromal about it, you may of put that person down! How sad is that?
The post ends here.
I really hope you read the whole post and didn't skim. Is it that hard to read it for 5 minutes?
If you did, then well done! You made it to the end of the post. I hope that this can clear out some things and that we can all be happy about sharing opinions. Yay

I don't like dubstep. I find it to be just a massive amount of noise and drops. I also find it loud and cringe worthy at some points. I don't get how people call this music when it's just a mix of noises together. It just isn't my forte, but I'm glad that you enjoy it, since it depends on different people"
