Hi DSGHQ users, Skittles is here today to talk to you about thinking before you're speaking.
Alright, this isn't my idea nor my work. I copy and pasted this little poster which is something I've been seeing in my elementary school for many years. And now that I'm seeing it in my Middle School classes, I've decided to share it with you all:
Before you speak, think.
True, Helpful, Inspiring,Neccesary, and Kind. These are the five elements to determine if a person's words are great or fake. Of course, sometimes we can spill crap out of our mouths if we rage quit.. or should I say RAGE!!!! And yeah we can feel pretty sick, or annoyed sometimes which is common and happens to everyone. But let me tell you guys a little something out of the words I've put in color. Hope you all learn a little something today.
Is it true?
Truth is pretty important. Believe it or not it will lead you to lesser consequences and gain more trust. Although in some scenarios in life we are liars and make up stuff (my dog ate my homework, um no Kate did it, etc.) false accusations never solve the problem. So when you say something make sure it's 100% true!
Is it Helpful?
Words are meant to be helpful. No one needs to know gossip, or rumors, or personal information. It helps no one. Yeah disturbing things that we need to know are helpful because after we graduate from High School and pack out of our houses we will be welcomed to the world where we control! Yay!!! Knowledge is important as well, enriching vocabulary and solving harder equations in Math are helpful words to hear. So ignore the bad words and be glad with the good words!
Is it Inspiring?
Most words that are inspiring are by famous people, such as Nelson Mandela, Albert Einstein, Martin Luther King Jr., Abraham Lincoln, Partrick Henry, and sooooo many more. But important words live on and on, never being forgetting. And you know what else could inspire you? People in your local community, or somewhere that you go, etc. It's everywhere. Words are supposed to impact your life. Don't lose them!!!!
Is it Neccesary?
This is a little similar to words being helpful. To be honest there's a lot of crap spoken. Curse words used when they don't need to be used. Gossiping. "Rumor has it that Alana likes Carson!!" These are weird, bug them off of you, focus on things that will help you and not make you end up frustrated.
Is it Kind?
Ever heard of the song Rude by Magic? That pretty much is the meaning of being kind and rude. But as I said, we all can rage and be mad in some points of life. Breathe in, breathe out, or drink some water). Talk to them calmly so you can solve the issue in a better way, because if you shout it leads you to more conflict. Be kind to others at school, that's the kind of behavior teachers would like to see. Cause all being rude does is cause more probs.
That's all for today my loves. Thanks for reading, g'day m8.
