Today is going to be one of my more long posts, about the Forums and how it changed through the past two years. I joined two years ago, when the forums wasn't as advanced as it is today. It looked like this:
It was very basic and I guess you could say very troublesome. For example, liking posts. In 2013 every time you liked a post it would refresh. Considering I was on the slowest computer in the world, it took a few years for me to actually like a post. Thanks to Javascript and Damen's knowledge in coding, you would probably not have to experience that today. Another thing, categories. Categories were introduced early in September 2013, but at that time there were very little categories. There weren't as many choices as the categories you see today. In fact, you also wouldn't have to witness the drama caused from the Introductions and Goodbye's categories.
I can say from my perspective that 2014 was a huge year for forums. A small and simple community became this community, the DSGHQ forums. Some people didn't really like 2014, because of all the drama that occurred. But from my perspective it made the forums really good. Lots of the events, progressing, and new stuff happened in 2014. The empire introduced new ranks, which gave people more opportunities and more selections for ranks. Another thing that was heavily improved, staff. More and more users joined, lots showing potential, and improved our staff a lot. Look at the staff (and their reputation) in late or early (I don't remember) September.
Another thing that probably changed the forums from 2013, the facelift. After about 2 years of blinding white, we are finally are given with a new and sleek look of the forums! It seems so long ago since that happened, but I got to say that our forums changed when that happened. The forums looks more advanced and has lots of new features. Wiki was introduced and that has been so useful. Need help with something? Look at the wiki. Want to know your history? Look at the Wiki. The wiki is one of the many things that this awesome community has to offer.
In the end, I can't thank Damen enough for making this forums and making the changes that helped us and made our community even better.

Joining this forum the first day it released means quite a lot to me, and seeing this forum progress and grow like no other really says a lot about this community. I love being a part of this. Also, that second picture you used, I took that for a news report in October 2013 because Damen reached 500 reputation points and had the highest reputation at that time (like that was a lot back them, lol).
