Every one of our ships WILL sink, however...

Every single second, every single breath we take, the ships of our lives are sinking and sinking until it finally sinks all the way to the very bottom. When I was 13, my mother found out that her ship was abundantly close to completely being completely sunk. I reached out my hands and touched her heart and reminded her to never let her heart stop being filled with greatness. That way, even when she's gone, at least her continued shining with the light of hope, and didn't whatsoever contain the darkness of defeat and misery.
The ship is getting deeper and deeper into the water nonstop, but since we are in the water anyway, we might as well have a swimming race with ourselves, and the moment we are done reaching into our brains, and taking our goals from the unsure dream world into the strong, definite reality world is the moment where we have proudly reached the finish line.
If we don't even attempt to make it to the finish line, nevermind this, the ship of life doesn't sink because we never even truly lived in it. If we do make a legitimate attempt, the ship sinks, but it doesn't reform into the ship of death, because our legacies didn't die. The trail of our footprints lead to a universe with a bag full of our amazing legacy that someone can pick up, and always carry with them.

You're right, some ships will be more vulnerable than others, but some last a long time. Sorry to hear that your mother's ship is sinking
