Background Information: I'm Dayton. As most of you know I'm from New York (Eastern Standard Time). I've been apart of this community for quite some time (late 2013). Throughout the years I've had my ups and downs but have persevered. The community as a whole has helped me out tremendously. Whenever I think back to joining, I never really thought I would stay for as long as I have. I'm really glad that I have stayed for so long because the forums has given me many skills such as communication and workmanship. Since then I've always wanted to do my part, and help out in a much 'larger' way by giving every user the best experience possible, and always lending help whenever needed. As most of you probably know... I've applied for moderator a few other times and haven't given up yet & don't plan on it.

Characteristic Traits:

• I'm loyal to all OldCP & Forums values.

Examples: I've been apart of this community for a while now and have always put others before myself. Whenever speaking with a user I make sure, to be honest, and supportive. I believe that everyone's concerns & questions are important no matter what. This means that users can rely on me whenever necessary because I will always be there for them.

• I'm passionate & very optimistic whenever it comes to any roles given to me.

Examples: During the times that I'm online I always make sure to take pride in my work. Whenever it comes to replying to a discussion, mood, or question that a user has I make sure that I'm doing the right choice. I believe that you need to have a positive mindset at all times no matter the circumstance. Make sure to always show that your focused, and on task.

• I'm both respectful & responsible. If employed as 'Moderator' I will make sure to follow all forums' rules & guidelines.

Examples: Since I can remember I have always made sure to be kind to everyone apart of the community. During all discussions, applications, and even redemptions I have made sure to encourage the users because at times things can get stressful. Even during the times, I'm stressed out I make sure to have a positive & happy mindset. You've got to be happy with what you've got - even if it's not a lot.

• I'm very organized. Whenever a user needs help I will make sure to help them efficiently in an organized manner.

Examples: Organization is a key tip if someone wants to be apart of the staff team because sometimes things can get messy. I've always made sure to re-read things, which can help me gather all the information needed to respond. At all times I make sure that I've got a flexible schedule so that I can be apart of the community much longer & be much more active.

Why are you applying for this position?: I believe that I'm fit for the position. Throughout the many years being apart of the forums I've grown to love helping users out whenever I get the chance too. Being able to help the community out is something I believe is very treasured (adored). Getting the chance to be apart of the forums for so long has made me realize how valuable the staff is. They've got such great workmanship, teamwork, and organization. I'm willing to help out in any way possible. I believe that I can contribute to the community more & get the chance to assist many more users with or without the role.

What are some of your abilities?: I will be able to provide reassurance and support whenever necessary. I will be able to communicate with users very well. As most of you know communication is one of the largest attributes on the forums. I believe that I've got the basic understanding & skills to communicate with the users in a much 'larger' way. Whenever a user is in need of help I will make sure to clarify that my mail, and discord are open so that they can resolve their problem rather quick.

Advantages and Disadvantages:

Pros:

• Great with teamwork. Whenever asked to work together I will make sure to provide hands-on communication and help.
• I've got great leadership skills. Currently, I help alongside the Penguin Watch as a Captain & help develop new projects.
• I'm experienced with moderating. I've gotten the chance to be apart of the OldCP staff team (moderator) which has helped me learn a lot.
• I'm very hard-working whenever it comes to helping out. I will make sure to follow any orders given to me by the administrators.

Cons

• I easily get frustrated which I’ve been working on improving recently.
• I've got a tight schedule and sometimes won't be able to make it online.

To conclude on the application I would like to say that I'm not in it for the 'powers' or 'superiority'. I believe that I can help contribute my time, and effort into the forums to benefit the users. If employed I will make sure to follow all orders given to me in a responsible manner. I truly do believe that I've got what it takes. If not employed I will make sure to act the same and continue to be respectful, responsible, and helpful to all users.

Overall, I think this application is absolutey splendid! The format is very organised - you've elaborated your key abilities and reasons as to why you want to join the staff team very well. Although, I was slightly confused as to how you'd help in a more "larger way"; this could be resolved if you explain it in some more detail though. As well as this, I know it is great to show your own personal advantages and disadvantages, but it does sound a bit distasteful if you do base your problem of frustration only to be resolved if you get promotion. As much as it tells the team that you have drive to become a better person when you get the job, it also suggests that you hold some kind of apathetic characteristics because these personal problems haven't been written in your application as ones you have been working on before the job (which insinuates how prepared and willing you are for the job).

Please do take my reply to be as constructive as possible - and also implement it as much as possible!

I'm glad that you've enjoyed most of the application including the formatting. Along with your response, you've added constructive criticism which I appreciate. I've taken the time to fix some of the things necessary which include adding more detail to the parts: ('larger' way) so that the reader understands what I mean. Another thing that I've made sure to fix was the advantages, and disadvantages so that it doesn't seem emotionless.
