Currently in OldCP there is a list of "Community Values". These work great, but I see a consistent issue. I think the staff do not have a grasp on what is ban worthy and what is not. I was put on Ban on Sight for killing a singular moderator - while most people who were BOS had done things like constant harassment, as well as other much worse things.

This is why I believe there should be a separation of RULES and LAWS. RULES are ban worthy. While LAWS are at the most KILL/TRIAL worthy. Rules are things like cursing, harassment, slurs, and other things that fall under that specific category. While Laws consist of things that get you arrested, and put on KOS or AOS.

I think this would eliminate the HIGHLY unfair issue of bias.
By killing a single Moderator, I had my things taken, my weapons taken, banned, put on ban on sight, ipbanned, had one of my account's passwords changed, and killed in spawn on my main account. I think this is extremely overboard and all in all unfair.

Also, when someone is being banned, the person banning should be obligated to give a reason, and their name. That way, the person who's being banned knows exactly what they were being banned for, and can appeal easier. I can't tell you how many times I've just been banned out of no where. And without a way to know who banned, I can't even talk to the person about it.

Also, admins should not be able to demote people that did not receive weapons from them. If I got my weapons from Legion, Sled should have no right to DEMOTE me from anything; SHE'S not the one that gave me them, and she shouldn't be the one to take them away. That is highly unfair, and should be fixed. Because I can't tell you how many hundreds of times multiple NWO members constantly just have their things ripped away from them mid-battle by some random dumbass DRAKE who doesn't know what the hell they're doing, and have to wait months just to ask Legion for them back.

These are just some thoughts I had.

I agree. The South shouldn't have the ability to enforce laws as if they were rules. Rules should be stuff mods enforce, like no cussing, and laws, like no killing, should be enforced in a more realistic way. I semi-agree on the weapons thing. I think in order to confiscate weapons, you should have to get caught. So for example, if you're offline, it shouldn't be taken away, or if you're fighting, shouldn't be taken away. But if you end up arrested, then they should be able to confiscate it. Other than that though, i'm in complete agreement.

all of this is correct. you killing someone in-game is not a valid reason to ban you at all. you also shouldn't have had your weapons removed if you got them from Legion. it ruins roleplay if you're unarmed by an admin out of no where. if your weapons were to be removed by the south, you'd need to be arrested first, like julian said above. if you're abused in this way you can always contact me via forums mail or discord pm and i'll make it right.

i've always seen a separation between rules and laws. rules are enforced by "technical" ranks, such as moderator or penguin watch, whereas laws are enforced by "roleplay" ranks such as knight or detective.. it doesn't make sense to mix them. i never considered the fact that others in the community may not think the same way. maybe i'll clarify in a post sometime.

to summarize: i agree completely!
