Combat system
Us users have been using the same old, same old combat system for a long time... without any big updates! So why not?
Well.. I got a few ideas!
Blocking
Now hitting shift + space, still blocks.. however like in smash brothers your block is limited, and breakable. A standard sword can take say, 2-3 hits before the block breaks.
Thus exposing you for hits, making crucial blocking an element of play.
Combo meter
If you land, lets say 5 hits on someone a small meter should appear a "combo" meter, and if filled. (A maximum of 10 hits needed) it will do a very powerful attack called a "Special"
this would make combat more fun as people try to get "Combos" on others!
Combo names.
2 hits = getting fiesy.
5 hits = Hard hitting
10 hits = Special hit!
Specials
IMO specials could work like they do in Final Fantasy VII where once you get a special, you preform a hard hitting attack lets say +5 damage to the hit. Getting a special will be indicated by your "Combo" meter flashing red. The following hit will do more damage.
Strafing
If you hit shift space, space.. you will preform a strafe where your penguin automatically jumps to the side. The strafe could be indicated by first, a black glow power up and then the actual strafe to the side. Giving you, time. And the attacker time.
Finishing statements
OLDCP combat as is right now, is really boring. I'd like some spicy new additions to make it funner!
