As the title suggests, I believe we should limit the amount of dislikes one can make over a period of time.

Now, the reason for me posting this is for those who want to flame for no reason or want to just go on some dislike rampage.

Anyways, I suggest there should be a limit to an amount of dislikes. One option would be to make one dislike every minute or so. This would at least cease immediate dislikes all at once.

However, this may not be enough. Another suggestion would be to have a certain amount of dislikes be available for about a day or so. For example, you can only dislike five times at most in 24 hours.

A third option could be for just people to limit themselves to not flame, but of course this won't always come to mind in the heat of a moment.

Another option, suggested by Abby, would be to take out the dislike button altogether. This could take away any hurt others could bring and all that.

The point on the suggestion topic is so you COULD blabber your ideas for all to see, so it's no big deal. I agree with you as well, the dislike button does hurt many people.

Yes, It does the most when they took the time and effort to make this big long post and then someone dislikes it.

This is an great idea because if i don't like a post i don't either like or dislike it i just let it go.But when i see the same person do it again i dislike.For me it's do it twice get a dislike eh that doesn't even rhyme anyway great idea mail it to a administrator!-Internal

Yup. I do see like a page long post and then it turns into drama, when the post is about Drama is bad, don't do it.

Well I honestly think that maybe we should get rid of both buttons so then it won't hurt anyone's feelings if one person got a like and the other person did not then they would feel sad, but if we got rid of the like & dislike button we would all be equal and rep would not be there to taunt the other person with how much the other one has (likes & dislikes). This is just my opinion

The Like button does not do as much damage to someone's post as the famous Dislike button does, So there is no need for the Like button to be taken away then there would be no point is having the Rep on your profile, I just think the dislike button should be gone.
