Considering the fact that getting ore is a main focus of the game; why does it take such a long and boring process?

Going to one spot, sometimes having to grind other ores to get some ores, and with all of the trouble? It's not really worth it

But, why not make the way you obtain ores more interesting? Have some kind of games in them? Maybe have a dungeon system so that when you go to certain caves you have a chance to fight spiders or have to get around traps, or even some kind of pirate game where you have to dig up chests full of ores?

Very nice ideas! Dungeon crawling would be cool. I think buying ores with gold COINS can help. The main currency is a nugget of gold but that's an ore. Coins you get from staying on and allows for anyone to stay online (activity) or do games and buy ores.
