Honestly, it's kind of sad to see that a game that has made so many memories is being abandoned on for another project. I really liked OldCP, but now it struggles to muster like 2 or 3 players daily.
Although, Penguin3D did have more potential compared to OldCP, so I think it dying was bound to happen anyway. It's probably for the better.
I never got the gun I wanted tho. Damn you 600 gold per hour system!

Own a musket for home defense, since that's what the founding fathers intended. Four ruffians break into my house. "What the devil?" As I grab my powdered wig and Kentucky rifle. Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's smoothbore and nails the neighbors dog. I have to resort to the cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with grape shot, "Tally ho lads" the grape shot shreds two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms. Fix bayonet and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He Bleeds out waiting on the police to arrive since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the founding fathers intended.

It is really sad to see oldcp in this state. P3D just has so much more stuff to do and Damen works so hard on it. The death of flash didn’t help oldcp any either. A lot of memories from oldcp can be found on these forums in old posts as well as in the wiki. At least the community still lives on even though it’s gotten a bit smaller.

As the current Grand Moth Wise, I feel sad seeing Oldcp that gave us so many memories abandoned, I am particularly active almost always after my work at Oldcp because I can't forget one of the best experiences I had there.
I agree that a nostalgia event will be an excellent idea to meet again and maybe make Oldcp more active!

I am doing my best to keep OldCP alive but I can try to arrange some sort of nostalgia event. It's just hard to get many users online anymore most people just login at night and some people also just show up for cz then leave once it's over.
