The first thing you will need to do to get into the end is to collect ender pearls and then craft them into eyes of ender. You will need up to 12 eyes of ender to enter the end portal. To find the end portal throw an eye of ender into the air and follow it. You may need to craft extra eyes of ender because they can sometimes be hard to see and can be lost. After you locate the portal and put all the eyes of ender in you enter the portal. When inside the end there will be tons of enderman and a dragon called the ender dragon. The first step to beat it is to take out the regeneration orbs at the tops of the towers so he can't heal himself. After that is done you must battle the ender dragon. And you do have to battle him to get out of the world. When battling a bow is useful for when he is flying out of reach. Normally after a long battle the dragon will start to shine then explode. After it is gone There will be a platform that has an egg and a portal back to the overworld. If you would like to claim the egg as your prize it is tricky to get. When doing it make sure not to attack it straight on. When getting it put a small wall around it then use a piston to smash it. After you are ready you enter the portal and you will be taken to the credits of the game and then back to your spawn point.

I have beat him before... I kind of cheated, and was in creative mode though. That doesn't really count though. Anyways, amazing post. Yes the Enderdragon egg is very tricky to get. I had to try several times to get it. If you break the block under it, and place a torch on the block it will work. You just have to be really quick about it. Again amazing post. +1

I did it legit! It was such a big accomplishment! I beat the Wither 3 weeks later. Anyway thanks for making a discussion on how to beat the Ender Dragon +1!
