I do not own this poem. Credit goes to Ichigosluver on DeviantArt.
She's walking down the hall
She's not really that tall
And she's a little over weight
And her hair's not quite straight
They laugh and they point and they joke all about
They scream and they shout
And no one stands up for the girl
Teachers walk on by
Pretending they don't see her cry
They're not bad people, they just don't care
She's not in their class
And that's all that matters here
It doesn't matter to them if she's not in school tomorrow
Or the next day
Or the next
Until they hear what happened that day
After the taunting and teasing
Shocked to find she went home and cried
And picked up her dad's gun that was at her side
And suddenly it's a national story
And everyone is wondering why
They let this little girl go home and cry
Why no one stood up to the bullies at school
Who laughed at her and taunted her and thought they were cool
Teachers are shocked and friends are depressed
And suddenly it doesn't seem so funny anymore
And the bullies are now the bullied
Because everyone knows
That the words they said that day
Ended that life
Of the little girl who was just not quite right
Not tall enough
Not pretty enough
Not enough for them.
That poem explains how severe bullying can get. If you or someone you know are being bullied, tell a trusted adult, like a parent, teacher, etc. #stopbullying
