Some people might have nothing else to do, some people might find it hard to talk to people due to anxiety or other mental disorders. For some people, their mental health stops them from getting off the internet or going outside. For some people, the internet is the only thing they have. It's nice that you added that little bit at the end, but this can still make some people feel really bad. A better way to stop drama, is to just not comment on any of it. Sorry if this is rude, but it just really bothers me.
Just because people have spent a lot of hours/days online, doesn't mean they are wasting their lives. Some people only have their friends online, or if they aren't online they are forced to deal with abusive parents or friends, and it causes them to be depressed. If someone is online a lot, don't just assume it's because they are lazy or never go outside.
