In order to succeed, you must first believe in yourself. I bet you've done a lot in your life.

Well, it's been 3 weeks. I haven't made a wise post and I have made 3 drafts before this, so this post took a few hours to make. I'd highly appreciate it. Without further adue...

Lucky Them.
They have everything, they get everything they want. They are so much better at everything compared to you, be it physical or mental. They can do anything. (Wait... am I discouraging you? Don't worry, keep reading.) Lucky them. Good for them.
But remember, the grass is always greener on the other side. This means that they might think you can do everything better than them, and you do the opposite. And even if they are spoiled, they might not be able to do everything you can do. People need to figure things out on their own to be successful, not be baby-fed the instructions. Just keep that in your head, don't tell the person. You could hurt their feelings, and, well, that's bullying.

Lucky You.
You know, it's only when you take your eyes off your computer screen for a few seconds when you realize how lucky YOU are. Lucky you, you found this community. Lucky you, you have access to the internet. Lucky you, you can use a computer. Lucky you, computers exist! If you grew up just a few years ago, this community would not exist!
But you all know that. Let's talk about something similar for a bit: walking. Some people are physically unable to walk. They are born that way, or something tragic happened over time. You see, it's the simple things in life that we take for granted. So I ask of you right now, to take a minute and admire the things you take for granted. The simple things.
Done? OK. Proceed to the conclusion.

Conclusion
Er.. this isn't related to the wisdom above. I just wanted to apologize if this didn't meet your expectations, and thank you all for reading this far. Don't forget to leave a like and possibly some feedback. It's not necessary, but it makes me feel good. I will be making another wise discussion in.. maybe a week or so.
Thanks,

Posted in LeoRPG Beta App - Jacobg627 • 30th May 2015, 09:04 AM

Okay. Welcome to my LeoRPG Beta Tester Application, beautiful people. If you could, read the whole application. I appreciate it.

Desired Username - Jacobg627

Why do you want to beta test LeoRPG? - I wish to help fix bugs. Nobody likes a very glitchy game. I also wish to make the game available to the public not long after beta testing starts.

Have you beta tested a DSGHQ game before? If so, list them. - Snailschat (Public beta test), Snaildom..

What have you beta tested outside of the DSGHQ? - Just some Steam games; Unturned, Don't Starve Together Beta, and a few more. Also a few minecraft servers, although most have failed.

Can you be trusted? - I have played on the DSGHQ a little over 2 years and have earned quite a few ranks during that time. I have never abused my powers and have never cheated or hacked any DSGHQ game.

What do you promise to do as a beta tester of LeoRPG? -I promise to only go on the game when I'm needed, report bugs, and help LeoRPG reach it's full potential so it can be an enjoyable experience for all. I promise not to use this as an opportunity to brag to other users, and to not share screenshots of the game until after the public release.

Do you understand that patience is an important matter of testing, and that it's not a game to mess around on? - Yes, I fully understand that patience is an important matter in beta testing. I can assure you that I will not mess around on LeoRPG if I become a beta tester. I take beta testing very seriously, and I respect the job. I will listen to Damen during beta testing and will not mess around.

Thank you all for reading my Beta Tester Application for LeoRPG. I thank you all for reading this far, and I hope you could take this application into consideration being that so many have been created. I really hope there wasn't a grammar rmistake there, that would be kind of embarrassing.

We must have bad days so we can enjoy the good ones. Think: Today might be bad, but tomorrow can only be better. I simply don't understand why anyone would "break up," with you. You're the man; Wise, smart, funny.

Alas, I hope you find someone new. I hope something good ended up coming out of the day, hopefully good. Remember: Tomorrow will only be better.

Guide of Tips and Tricks for Making Quotes
Created by Jacobg627
Dedicated to all who wish to be wise ones and current wise ones

This quote book can be used by all who want to make better quotes. It is filled with tips I use to create wise quotes. This shouldn't be limited to "wise," quotes, for these quotes apply to almost any type of quote.

Tip 1: Think of Something That connects to a Life Virtue
This means to think of something you enjoy in life and make a quote related to it. You could compare to concepts in life, such as patience, or real things you enjoy, like reading (for me, that is).

Tip 2: Think of Something that is Related to Your Life
This makes your quotes so much more meaningful. If you know what you are making a quote about from experience, it will be more realistic, too. I use this one for some of my quotes, but not all of them.

Tip 3: Make Your Quote Provoke a Specific Emotion
Shall it be happiness, sadness, anger, excitement, and so on, your quote should provoke a specific emotion. This means that if you wrote your quote with the intent on inspiring people, make sure it inspires people! You can try this by reading it to yourself, and seeing how you feel by the end. This one is essential for any quote, wise or not. You can do this by adding a certain keyword that stands out.

Tip 4: Don't Write Quotes With the Intent of Being Wise
This is important. You shouldn't write them with the intent of being wise because then they would come out as simple or non meaningful. Nobody should take offense to this, but "wise," quotes usually don't express emotion.

Tip 5: Get Inspired
When writing a wise quote, you should be inspired. If you're not inspired by anything, go outside and observe. No matter where you live or who you are, you will find something. Then you can write a quote about it.

Tip 6: Don't Use Too Many Long Words
Don't use too many big and complicated words. Smart quote writers know that short, easy to say words are usually how people speak. You don't want to write a quote with a word that doesn't roll off the tongue. Don't use deranged if you can use crazy.

Tip 7: Read Your Quotes Aloud
This is more of a rule than a tip. You can see if there are any sentences that don't flow together and if it meant what you intended it to mean.

Conclusion
Thank you for reading, I hope you learned something new about quote writing. Please like and reply to this.

Posted in I'm a fool of DSGHQ • 22nd May 2015, 03:58 PM

First: Nobody thinks you are a "fool,"
Second: You made a mistake. Did you learn from it? Would you make it again? The mistake doesn't matter, be it big or small. But how you react does. And if you learn from it matters the most to me.

Posted in No Tolerance Policy • 18th May 2015, 09:26 PM

I like the concept, but 24 hours per week is a bit extreme. 24 hours is about 14.2857143% of their time. Let's say they spend 39% of their time sleeping. And about 29.166% of their time in school per week. That's about 80% of a moderator or other staff member's time!

This leaves around 20% of their time to their life off of OldCP and school. Not to mention time spent with family... I'd see 12 hours a week, but 24 is farfetched. I understand you're looking for the most elite moderators, but they're children. Let them live while they're young!!

Yes, this is a nice policy, just consider lowering the numbers. This is just my opinion, and if you disagree I am fine with it. I really hope this didn't come out as rude.

With best regards,

Posted in Resigning -Jacobg627 • 17th May 2015, 06:46 AM

To start this off, I will try to make this to the point and with a minimal amount of drama. I am resigning from moderator. In this post, I will explain why I must resign.

Reasons

1) I feel as if I cannot fulfill my duties as Moderator if I am Grand Most Wise. I have been getting so many wise tests when I am on, but I cannot do so if I am the only moderator online.

2) As Summer grows near, my free time runs scarce. I can barely get on OldCP now, and in all honesty, an inactive moderator is not a good one. Plus, when I do get on, I always manage to get sidetracked. This is a huge problem for everyone. For people waiting to get a wise test, they will not be able to know if they can take it. For people with serious complaints, or a user swearing, I will not be there to get it under control. I always happen to get sidetracked at the worst time possible. I hate to admit it, but for now, Moderator is not the rank for me.

3) When Summer starts, I will probably be even more inactive. I wish to live while I can, not sit in front of my computer all day. I know I am being such a hypocrite of sorts with that, but it's what I desire.

Thank you all for reading, I appreciate it. I hope not to cause drama.
-Jacobg627

+I don't think this could happen, but I'd like to stay as Grand Most Wise.
++I will get on here if I can, so don't act as if I'm leaving DSGHQ.

Amazing. I simply cannot wait for this to be released. I just have a question: Will this be a sandbox game?
Quote:
Vehicles will be like a protection against bullets but keep your head down...

That part made me think otherwise XD

y0 Angi,
I read this whole post through (twice), and it made me quite depressed. You were an excellent moderator, and a role model to all. Most importantly, you are a friend to all. I believe you made the right choice, and I hope to see y0 on OldCP.

If people can't do something themselves, they're going to tell you that you can't do it. They have the audacity to think they matter, but they're a bit arrogant. You don't want to discourage others just to find courage for yourself. There are other ways to find courage and confidence.
The effect you have on people is the most valuable currency. How will you serve the world? What can you provide the human race? Will you be remembered? What will be the moral of your story? I shall answer all these questions today.

How will you serve the world?
You YOU, yes, I mean you, will have dreams. Others will call those dreams stupid. A waste of time and energy. But you know better than that, don't you? You will follow through with those dreams and persevere. Talent will only get you 0.01% of the way there, for talent doesn't truly matter. Talent is just an extra thing to confuse you. So how you will serve the world is simply by setting goals for yourself and achieving them, no matter what others think.

What will you provide the human race with?
You have two choices. Two incredibly big and important choices. You can choose to just breathe, simply exist... or you can be great. But it won't be easy, because LIFE isn't easy. It will beat you to your knees if you let it. It will force you to scream out in pain if you let it. If you let it. Don't let it. Rage against it, be an army of one. Rather than using your army to start riots, use your army of one to change the world. In a good or bad way. You pick. I won't be the judge of your future, but remember: If you want to make a change, your reputation will be remembered. If you wish to change the world as a criminal, keep in mind the bad reputation that has affected others.

WILL you be remembered?
If you exist and don't help others, no. If you help others and make an effort in everything you do, try your best, then you will be remembered. If you held the door open for someone, you could make their day. You could make them happy, and then they'll make others happy. Attitudes are contagious, as my parents told me. So, if you're happy, you'll be remembered as the one who helped others, was respectful, and made others happy. If you are negative, you'll be remembered as a sad person, a person who rants, or a person who only sees the negative side of things.

What will be the moral of your story?
Work until your arms fall off. Help others until there is no more helping to be done. Be yourself. Create opportunities for others to succeed. Life is hard, learn to love it. Learn from your mistakes. Try until you succeed. Family is everything. Life is what you make it.

All of these are morals of people's stories. They've dedicated their lives to helping others. To helping you.

Conclusion
What is the moral of your story? What will you be remembered for? Reply below! Don't forget to leave a like to the post, it's greatly appreciated.
