i'm not on break, i've just decided to leave any community-related chats for personal reasons. i'm still doing admin work but people will have to contact me directly through forums mail or discord PMs.

with all due respect sled, you are allowed to take breaks but the behavior you exhibit while doing so is inappropriate. you set your display name to "gone", which implies that you've left entirely, and you know that. last time you were upset, you set your name to "quit" and made multiple posts about leaving the game and feeling unappreciated. behavior like this is only attention-seeking and asking for pity. if i remember correctly, damen banned quitting posts in the past for this very reason. i believe you are a great administrator and poor trial results are not solely your fault, but you have got to stop acting this way. what i suggest when you feel overwhelmed is to take a step back from everything for a moment and think before posting, arguing with people, changing your display name, etc. if you don't, you are acting recklessly and creating drama within the community, which causes further turmoil and strife.

i hope you're okay. take these two days to do what makes you happy.

no but actually i agree, i wish we could have more variety in our staff team but unfortunately a lot of the people i'd like to see ranked tend to break the rules a lot more often than those with the personality type of existing moderators

In OldCP Chat can you say in announcements not to arrest unranked people even if they are armed?

I see your point, but as it stands only Knights are allowed in jail, and it's a Knight's job to deal with anyone who has been arrested. If you're looking to fight KOS people in jail then I recommend talking to Randy about becoming a Knight.

first of all, there's no way you'd ever need 6 people to kill one person unless it's some huge crimezone event, which wouldn't happen in jail.

secondly, if someone deserves punishment and they are arrested for it, then obviously they're an exception to the 6-person limit. the limit is for users who have access to jail but aren't being punished for crimes.

There is a rule stating that jail should never be the most popular room, because it excludes regular users and leaves other rooms unmoderated. You must enforce this rule as Moderator, Detective, or Knight. If you don't, then you aren't doing your job.

To make this easier to enforce, here is a list of regulations.

• There should never be more than 6 visitors in jail, excluding users arrested for crimes.
• Never arrest anyone to simply grant access to jail. This is abuse of power, which is grounds for demotion.
• There can only be one Moderator in jail at a time. Only the first to arrive may stay, with the exception of the Warlord, Knight Captain, Detective Inspector, or Detective Sergeant. If any of the aforementioned arrive, they will replace the Moderator on jail duty.
• If jail exceeds 6 visitors, only the highest ranking Knights may stay. It is the responsibility of the Knight Captain to assign rankings.

Commands such as /sendout or /rebuke to town (room ID: 100) may be used to enforce these rules. Please report any Knights or Moderators who fail to do so.
