Update:

Can we know the reasoning why all three of them were exiled? I feel like that would make people be able to see if it was a wise decision or not. If it was something small, then I don't think being exiled would have been necessary. I understand that it was what he told you to do with martial law and that's fine, it just seems like nobody knows the reasoning for being exiled and because of this, also the reasoning for the murder by the DRAKE.

sled mistakenly helped someone she shouldn't have because she thought it was cz. she, damen, and loki were exiled to send out a strong message to everyone to be more careful and not fall for things like this. idk if this is leaking but i don't see why people wouldn't have the right to know

i had no control over this

today sled was killed by DRAKE military under my rein as empress regent. i want to break down what happened in an attempt to relax the chaos.

a few hours ago, i come online to a text from damen asking if i'd accept empress regent. i said yes, because of course i'd like to help. empress isn't my goal. i'm happy with what i have and i did not accept the job for any selfish reason.

i was informed that damen had exiled himself, sled, and loki as a result of a mistake sled had made. this exile would be for some period of time between one day to one week. by definition, to be exiled is to be expelled from your native country, meaning that damen, sled, and loki were not allowed in the south for this period of time.

i was also informed by agency that Raindrop suggested martial law, meaning that Agency and DRAKE would have full power to do whatever they please in order to maintain the peace of the southern empire. i followed her suggestion and declared martial law.

during the session in which i declared martial law, sled had shown up in the throne room. i informed her that she shouldn't be there. Agency also informed her that she shouldn't be in the south. she swore that her exile was "only a joke" - which i knew was false - so the agency sent her out twice. she relentlessly returned both times, refusing to listen.

at this point i log off. drake comes online to pressure sled into listening to orders, as martial law allows drake to do. i believe that drake warned her many times that she needed to leave the south, whether that be by logging off or moving to another island, but she still refused. she stated that she "did nothing wrong" and just wanted to stay online with her friends. drake then threatened to shoot her. she refused to leave. people began swarming her to protect her.

i was in contact with drake during this ordeal, unsure of whether or not i should allow her to die. i tried contacting damen, but of course he's asleep seeing as it's late for him. bc it's martial law and drakes should do whatever they can to hold rules in place, i allowed him to execute her if she continued to refuse orders.

throughout all of this i spoke with sled asking her to play along with damen's orders of being exiled, log off for a bit, etc. but she was very adamant on staying online for personal reasons. this isn't a hate post against sled. i'm frustrated at the situation overall, and i felt that what i did was the only course of action i could take. i personally believe that damen would have revived and repromoted sled after their exile was over, had things gone differently.

that's the full story from my point of view. i understand that i can't change your opinion on me, but i figured my perspective was something worth sharing.

in a discord server, mods can look over each channel whenever they please & catch up on conversation. on oldcp, conversations are gone after they happen, so a moderator needs to be online and watching at all times. we have seventeen moderators to cover different timezones, and multiple rooms if needed. i'm not sure how the amount of moderators we have would make the game messy though.

i agree that crimezone can be difficult to keep up with, so can all the different ranks and changes within them. oldcp is definitely messy in that respect.
