Yeah, basically what Kace said. I notice I get XP when earning likes or making posts (whether they be moods or discussions). You may also get XP for contributing to the Wiki section or making polls as well but I'm not too sure about that.

Hey community members!
I have been searching for the past hour or so something that I thought was available to view. Either I am not a good seeker or I am incredibly dumb, as usual. I remember years ago, there was a section on the forum dedicated to 'badges.' It was a page where you were able to look at all the badges and who had the opportunity to obtain them. I think it would be a useful resource to bring it back, especially for the new users who sometimes question it from time to time.
If the page cannot be brought back, would someone (or not I) be able to make a post on it? Thank you!
Let me know what you think of this idea. I would appreciate it.

Hey Lou,

You can see a list of all the available badges when you go to the Wiki, hit search, and type 'badges'. I hope this helped.

Great idea, Saber. What a nice way to lighten the mood. I don't have my posts but some funny posts I remember writing were when I joined the RCHQ and made an OldCP Moderator application as my first ever post. It was amusing because I was so surprised at how much support I got.

Thanks for your feedback, but I'm a little confused about your opinion on me.
I'm more active on OldCP than Jenna, so I don't understand how I'm a male version of her. I come on 60-90 minutes a day, possibly even more. If you don't see me online that could be because of a time zone difference. I don't know what time zone you are so I can't comment too much about that. Also for the South Pole thing, that shouldn't really be put into play of how I do my job as a Moderator. It's a mini-game and people need to stop judging Moderators on emotions. I don't spawn kill people unless they've done it to me first and I'll do it around the same amount of times they did it to me and then stop. I don't really know you, but if you were apart of that group on South Pole saying I should be demoted after the mini-game was over that kinda explains your response. Nonetheless, thanks for your feedback.

LMAO i just said that because on the mod list your name is next to hers, and your name starts with a "j". All respects to you, i can change it if you want. I forgot to put your mod ranking out of 10 points, but if i did it would be 7/10 which is amazing. anything below 6 is awful job. Anything above is just good job, good person, just some stuff that happened in the past that changed my opinion about them. I would never say youre a bad mod because you spawnkilled me on southpole, sorry if it seems that way
Regard - Frankie

Thanks for explaining, there was not too much written so it seemed as though your opinion on me was emanating from the South Pole incident. My bad if you got mad at the spawn killing, but I did it because your group was doing it and I didn't think too much about it because it's just an innocent little mini-game. I currently do two jobs on OldCP (Grand Moth Wise and Moderator) so if you don't see me in popular it could also be because of the fact that I'm training someone or testing someone. I've recently been gaining some recruits for the Moth Council. I try to do both jobs and I think I'm managing just fine.

The team idea could be interesting, although, since part of the appeal is anarchy, maybe after one team is eliminated, the survivors from the other have to compete to win

That was basically the idea I wanted to do. Basically, when a team wins a challenge they would be safe for the day and the losing team would have to vote off one of their teammates. If there were 2 teams of 8, this could keep going until there are 8 people left, no matter which team background they were originally from. Once everyone is merged together, it would be a free for all. You could make alliances or team with anyone at that point if you wish to do so.

Hey guys,

I wanted to make this post to discuss I'm A Penguin Get Me Out Of Here (IAPGMOOH). I think that this show should come back to OldCP as a way to boost activity and have a little fun while doing it. I know that this show was done during the winter season, but I feel as though summer is a more appropriate season to host the show, and summer is right around the corner. If the show were to come back, I feel as though some things should be changed up in the way that it is played.

If I'm going to be honest, the idea of the show was a great concept. The challenges were interesting to watch and very thought out. When talking to some people about the show, I'd notice they'd be confused and not know what was going on when it came to winning challenges or when someone was chosen as a leader or when the users were voting on things. To me, the main thing that stuck out was people outside of the game voting on things. I feel like this shouldn't have been a thing because it would have been cool to see the relationships or alliances people on the show had formed determine everything. The hunger feature was pretty cool and it added onto the show to make it more interesting. This feature should stay. When this show was coming to OldCP, I thought of it way different than it was when the first season aired. I know that the show is based on another survivor brand if you will, and some may not know too much about it or may have not watched it. This was something that had occurred in my case. I wanted to enjoy the show but not knowing too much about what it was based on made it hard. Personally, I think that the show should be formed kinda like the way Total Drama was. It was a show based off of teenagers with survivor aspects built into it, this is very relatable to our user demographic.

Have two teams of 8 (maybe smaller if you will) compete against each other in challenges that require teamwork. Winning teams can win a larger supply of food. Keep doing challenges until there are only a few people left and then merge the teams. Then, everyone is competing for themselves and pulling their own weight. Single-winning competitors of challenges can win food or an advantage in the next challenge. Only your skills and friendships you've made on the island will determine how long you stay. It sounds pretty cool if you think about it.

I kinda just wanted to post this to get my thoughts out there. Thinking about it, it seems like a cool idea and a great way to make the show fresh with some new contestants.

Thanks for reading,

- Joseph

I completely agree. I don't see the need to be racist on this game, just enjoy the game with everyone and have a fun time. I've seen people say the n-word on Discord and I was shocked because some people are quick to cancel others who say it, but if one of their friends say it nobody cares and it's fine. Saying that word in general if you're in no place to use it should get you canceled period, it's racist. Stop the double standards!

Hi Saber,

Great post! As Randy said, you have provided a lot of evidence to back up the points you were trying to make. I completely agree with everything that has been said here and I hope the right eyes see this post. There's always room for improvement no matter what it is.

About the revival system, I wanted to comment on that part the most. With the revival system, I notice that there are cases where double standards occur. I understand that bias can happen in any environment, but it's just a sad thing to witness when this whole revival system was supposed to make things easier for everyone, not give people unfair treatment. There was this one time when Pic and I were killed at the same time, in the same place by the same person and my account got revived and Pic's account didn't. Was it because I was a Moderator? Probably. I know that Moderators have a lot of privilege when it comes to being revived but I don't think it's fair. It's not equal by any means. I understand that Moderators have a job to do and that is why they need their accounts more, but if you're in a situation where a Moderator and a user dies and you don't revive the user but revive the Moderator in that instance, just revive the user as well.

Posted in Ridiculous Ban Appeal • 29th May 2020, 08:14 PM

I know this is a bit late but I just want to make a statement:

When coming online and hearing about this situation, I had heard that you were lagging the server and a Moderator had asked if it was ban-worthy. I had told them that lagging the server is ban-worthy if done multiple times. That Moderator had then said that it was done a few times. If that's the case, then the ban was valid. I don't know all of the specifics, but if I was the Moderator dealing with the situation I would have at least warned, kicked then banned. I'm not saying what the Moderator did was right, and I'm not saying your point is invalid, I simply only heard one side of the story. I'm giving the way I would have handled it if I was in their shoes. Hoping something like this does not happen again. Sorry for your experience.
