i'm so proud of you for coming out about this chase, i really hope you learn from the mistake of lying about serious things to keep your identity hidden because you don't owe anyone explanations for things you aren't comfortable sharing. here for you always!!

retributive justice would be more effective in my opinion considering punishments are rarely equivalent to the wrongdoing. i agree entirely with what sugar said about the restorative approach.. it's an endless cycle.

to clarify.. i'm placing this discussion under the category "feedback." this post isn't meant to cause any drama, rather to address some concerns and give my input on events that i've witnessed during the entirety of the past 2 weeks.
it's more apparent than ever that the DSGHQ community has been dissected into a variety of crowds which is obviously inevitable, but i'd like to shift the focus of my post towards the relationship between staff members and non-staff members. as a former moderator (on oldcp at least), i can most definitely vouch for every user who has acquired the rank when i say that it's a pain in the ass, so please don't take anything i say beyond this personally as i will never discredit the hardships of the position. my intentions were to keep this short and simple, therefore i'll get straight to the point;
• the actions you take towards a user on any DSGHQ platform should NOT be affected by the relationship you have with them.
• favoritism should NEVER influence your decisions as a staff member.
• your best friend does not deserve any less of a punishment for doing the same thing another user was harshly penalized for.
• your position does NOT give you the right to silence someone else's voice. (minus intentional drama/trolling)
• forgiveness and kindness are not always guaranteed, don't belittle others for having an opinion.
• if you're going to punish a user, at least let them be aware of their own actions. i have seen several cases lately of "no reason given" and/or no responses at all.*
• LOCKING A DISCUSSION DOES NOT MAKE THE PROBLEM DISAPPEAR.*
• you are not higher than anyone else just because you hold a position of power.*
i'm no longer an active member of this community, but logging on occasionally only to see these issues grow worse is saddening. do better.
(this was NOT aimed at anyone in particular)

in my opinion, i don't necessarily think stalking somebody's activity on oldcp, flirting with them and attempting to get not only them but others into breaking up with their significant other is a "poor taste in jokes." i think your apology would look better if you were to go more into depth about the 'actions' you're apologizing for and hold yourself accountable for every uncomfortable comment and/or action made towards the users affected. it's not my place to accept your apology as it didn't affect me directly, but i am glad you finally spoke out about it.

this post was created for nothing more than a bit of constructive criticism. i don't know if it's your place to tell someone "not to play a game" because they dislike aspects of it. regardless of what seems to be flawed in his eyes, he still gave the game a bit of credit before going into depth in almost EVERY paragraph in the post. let others express their opinions openly just like certain users do when their posts are disliked.

cardiac is not a male nor a person named "joseph." cardiac is a female. she came out to me awhile after we broke up and before anyone gives me any hate, know that i am 100% aware considering we met in person recently. i've had my fair share of tears and hurt because of her, but i do believe in second chances and as her best friend of almost 3 years, i'm willing to watch her grow from this since it's the new year. she's done more for me than anyone ever has.
she made a discussion not even 10 minutes ago expressing how badly she regrets lying to those whom it may concern so please find it in your heart not to take this down, she wants the truth to be known. thanks. if you have any questions for her, feel free to dm her; cardiac#8463

hi everyone how's it goinggg? i'm gonna keep this short and simple.
i've been in the co for awhile now and i'm sure most can agree that it serves no purpose, especially as of right now. i've reached out to damen about this issue and i'm still waiting to hear back, so that's out of my control. however, as the new det inspector, i've made the decision to demote all current detectives and start fresh. i'm aware we don't have a detective sergeant, but bare with me as i choose who would be most fitting for the role. anywayssss if you're interested in becoming a detective, vacancies will be up soon (hopefully) unless i decide to choose through a different activity.
