my ideas 4 the island of das
big thank u to brit for creating this cute banner
- a small introduction: yo waddup! i think most of you know who i am but if not, i'm lyss. there's not much to say about myself other than i'm shorter than the average 16 year old, i sleep way too much and i've played oldcp for several years now. i've accomplished the roles of wise one, moderator, detective, detective sergeant, north knight, war knight and penguin watch captain, so i've had quite some experience. currently, i play the game as a detective and in all honesty, i wasn't planning on going for das but a friend of mine convinced me that i had nothing to lose so here i am. anyways, here are a few of the ideas i had if i were to take on the role of queen:
- replacing barradur: das is known for being the city of evil, and my main goal is to completely change that. barradur, better known as the throne room for pythas and the nazgul, isn't entirely necessary so my idea is to take it and transform it into the first official throne room that das has ever had. i'd turn the dark to light and make it a welcoming room for anyone who happens to travel to das.
- das dock: as soon as you use the command /sail das, you're instantly taken to ubarsands and in my opinion, that isn't a very fitting room considering you just got off a ship. to give your travels a more realistic effect, i'd like to create a port / new room where you enter as soon as you sail.
- morgulfactory: i've seen that others have had ideas similar to this, but i thought it'd be smart to transform /jr morgulfactory into a weaponry / armory of some sort. just like barradur, this room alone serves no purpose so why not turn it into something that adds on to the island?
- updated hallofroyalty: this is pretty self explanatory, i'd add on a memorial for past das rulers who haven't received the recognition they deserve.
- kybers: i would create kybers for das that come in a variety of colors so there's more to choose from considering the small amount of them now. these kybers will not be used to make saber kit's but as a rarity item in /vanitychest. my idea would be to hide the kybers in different rooms on das and if found, they could be traded in for gold.
- additional rooms: unfortunately, i can't go into depth about this idea as i haven't put much thought into it, but after observing the map of das, i realized the bottom left corner is empty and adding more rooms there would make the island more lively. one of my room ideas includes a colorful garden, which would add to the aesthetic of das and it's beautiful jungle.
- redesigning blackcity: this idea is another self explanatory one, as i thought it'd be clever to remove all unnecessary evil from das and transform the blackcity into something more magical.
- septim / solaris banners: this idea is more of my personal touch to das. as lady of solaris and ruler of septim, i'd show my appreciation of both houses by placing banners pretty much everywhere.
these are only a handful of the ideas i have in mind, as i have one too many to share. before i finish this up, i wanna thank brit for helping / supporting me through this entire campaign. brit, you have a heart of gold. that's all for now. good luck to all candidates and thank you for taking the time out of your day to read through all of these.

main username: Lyss
timezone: PST
ranks/past ranks: moderator, detective sergeant, detective, wise one, singer, war knight
experience: i haven't had much experience on the forums but this would be a great opportunity to try new things. i've been a moderator on oldcp for roughly 10 months now and i think i've earned enough trust to be considered for this role. i'm pretty active and being apart of the forums staff team would be a fun thing to try. that's all, have a good dayyy

GOM - Day 2
•
23rd February 2019, 07:27 PM
Hi guys!
Although this may not be the biggest recap, I still thought it'd be necessary to update everyone on today's GOM events for those who couldn't make it. Let's get right into it.
Task 1: Create a shape. Several of you might be familiar with GOM's famous making a shape while being timed task...well, the current year's groups chose to switch things up. Before I go into any of that, another team decided to come along on this journey with us! Team Litty Committee has ventured in and picked the legendary Pablo as their Team Leader. The group consists of 5 members - Pablo, Ohyeayeah, Yeet, Loki and Kutya. Anyways, Sushi chose to create the letter "M" for McDonalds...quite unique if you ask me. FreeHawks ran with a traditional yet adorable smile and our new group obliged Damen's top choice, the Toblerone. Great work to all who took an interest in this task, but Sushi took this win.
Task 2: Run any location on the map. Ah, this task is another familiar one, as users are bound to choose any destination on the map and run it with their team. Being someone who's competed in GOM several times, this was by far one of the most challenging, as many fights occured, users grew frustrated and chaos grew. Were these 3 teams able to take on this challenge? Sushi took on the ice rink, giving skating lessons, selling popcorn, drinks and seeking the safety of others. Whilst visiting, I was greeted right away and the popcorn was devine! Good job Sushi. FreeHawks chose to run the coffee shop, which is one of the best locations in my opinion. Service was great and I was even offered a free muffin! Last but not least, Team Litty Committee ran the dance club, which was a BLAST. Pablo chose some great tunes and they even had Max as a mascot! Litty Committee stole this win.
Task 3: Riddle me this. This year's GOM held a new task, at least for me it did. Team Leaders were given 10 gold each (1 gold = 1 guess.) The Team Leader must transfer gold to the answer of the riddle and if they're correct, the gold will be transferred back. After about 5 minutes, FreeHawks ended up figuring out the answer. Outstanding job to them!
Task 4: Recreate any Disney Scene and explain how it represents your team. Everything came down to this final task. Every one of the three groups had succeeded at least one win by now.....who took the last victory? Sushi picked a great film, Mulan. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the group chose the film to show off the empowering beings they all truly are. FreeHawks ran with the Lion King and let everybody know they NEVER give up...very touching. Finally, Litty Committee picked Nemo! "Keep on Swimming." After three incredible inclinations, FreeHawks took this success with satisfaction.
An hour after GOM, a tragic session was held. Chelsey has resigned from the administration team and her efforts will never go unnoticed. Thank you for everything Chels, you are truly a blessing.
That's all for today, make sure to tune in tomorrow for the final stage! Great job today everyone.
