The Coin
There was once was a boy living in Arizona. His name was Aaron Stephen Carter. He loved basketball, so most often you would see him in his backyard playing basketball. He had three siblings, Janiyah, Rayanna, and Ethan. Aaron and Ethan are the type of boys that like sports and exploring. Janiyah and Rayanna on the other side, are the type of girls that like shopping and they like one sport, soccer. Janiyah and Rayanna weren't the type of girls that liked exploring, so very often when the boys wanted to go explore, the girls counted themselves out of it.
"Yo Rayanna and Janiyah! Wanna come with me and Ethan to explore?" asked Aaron. "Yeah, nope," Rayanna and Janiyah both said. "Whatever, let's go Ethan," Aaron said. Mrs. Carter was not home, so the boys took it as an advantage to go exploring. They paid the girls $20 if they kept their mouth shut, and would just say they went out to play basketball at the park. As the boys explore, Aaron finds something ususual. "Yo dude, I found something," Aaron said. "It's just a coin. You never seen one before?" Ethan sarcastically asked. "I have, but this one seems different, in some way," Aaron replies back. "Nah dude, lets just keep on going," Ethan said. Aaron couldn't let Ethan stop him from examining the coin, so he quickly took it and put it in his backpack. "What have you found so far? Other than the coin," asked Ethan. "Nothing so far. Just the coin, that you said is just a normal coin," Aaron said. "It is just a coin. Did you take it with you?" asked Ethan. "Nope," Aaron replied. "It's getting dark, and I don't know if Janiyah and Rayanna are gonna keep their mouths shut even with a $20 bill," Aaron said. "Yeah, let's go before mom and dad come back," Ethan replied.
The boys walked home in time before their parents came home. "How was your day?" Mr. Carter asked. "It was great!" Janiyah, Rayanna, Ethan, and Aaron all said. The Carter family had pasta that dinner, definitely not Aaron's favorite. "I finished the pasta, so may I be excused to my room?" Aaron asked. "Oh wow, I thought you didn't like pasta. You finished it so quickly," Mrs. Carter said. "Oh yeah, I have some homework to do," Aaron replied as he swallowed his lies. "Oh okay, you are excused," Mrs. Carter said. Aaron runs all the way to his room and shuts the door. He takes the coin out of his backpack and gets a magnifying glass. "Woah, that is definitely not a normal coin. Ha, beat that Ethan," Aaron says to himself. Aaron realizes this is a special coin. A coin that was from years back. But mostly, a coin that could give you a fortune.
Aaron goes to Mr. Roy, a great scientist. "This coin is very special. If you really want that fortune, you're gonna have to bring it to The Wall. "The Wall?!?! The Wall seems scary and dangerous. How could one coin be such a fortune?" Aaron asks. "I know you have a lot of questions Aaron. But don't worry, I am here to answer them all. After all, I am a scientist. Anyway, The Wall might be scary, but it is not dangerous. I have been there before. It wasn't scary for me, unless you're afraid of bats and spiders," Mr. Roy says. "I am scared of bats though. But how can one coin be such a fortune?" Aaron asks. "This coin is from years back, when George Washington was the president. It was invented by a very popular company back then," Mr. Roy says. Aaron thanks Mr. Roy and runs off to The Wall.
Aaron walks into the cave that leads into The Wall. Aaron is amazed. He puts the coin on the wall and the world spins. Five seconds later, Aaron ends up in a mansion with his family. He's happy nothing has changed with his family. He is also happy that his parents don't have to struggle anymore trying to make money for the house they used to live in. Now they have a fortune. Aaron used to think the fortune didn't belong to him, but Mr. Roy told him that if anyone finds this coin, they were chosen to, and the fortune belongs to them. Aaron lives happily ever after with his fortune and his family. THE END.
