My Tour guides
•
2nd August 2015, 09:13 AM
It would be amazing to bring back tour guides, because they never got a chance to do anything. That should be one of the mini jobs, like the leader of tour guides or the boss or whatever. Anyways, tour guides could help out occasionally, give a tour of the island, and talk about all the ranks, crimezone, the order, etc etc etc. They would have titles so people would know. I think it would be helpful for new users, because new users don't know our rules, what happens, how to earn currency, etc. Anyways, good luck doing this!

Changes to Moderator Tracking
•
31st July 2015, 09:41 PM
I think this is a great plan. I still feel like you guys are expecting a certain amount of hours, but without stress of the sheet, I will feel like I am not forced the be online. Since no moderators know who the brothers are, I hope that the moderators and I will do an exceptional job even if there is no one around. I hope this will make a better future for us. Thank you so much!

This is an amazing idea, DSC! Although, I think it'd be better if you could find everybody. Not just friends.
There are many flaws to that idea, thats why it would be only friends. People could basically stalk you, like the old goto command where everyone could just stalk everyone. So, there are many other reasons also, privacy reasons.
but what if your friends list is full?

If so, you would need to delete some friends, or we could just ask for more space. If this worked out, we could have premium friends lists that went up to 500 friends for something like 300 gold. It would be a forums to oldcp addon, but you would need to put your oldcp username in.

the bad thing is if your playing hide and seek and your friends with them they can easily track you down
Just delete them for the game, the suggestion is as simple as that.

/Find command for Friends

So, on oldcp, I see many people asking moderators to look for people for them. It happens all the time. I think it would be a good idea if there would be a /find command for friends. This means that anyone on your friends list will be able to be found by saying /find (username). It would only work with people you befriended or accepted, and you could unfriend them at any time so they cannot follow you. This would help make moderators jobs easier, and it would help friends get to each other faster. This wouldn't go wrong, and it couldn't be abused, because you could just delete that friend from your list. What do you think? I believe it would be a great addition to oldcp.
What this means is if you click on someone's playercard on oldcp, and click the smiley, and they accept, then you would be able to say /find username if that friend is online.

The WCI System - What I Think.
•
31st July 2015, 09:20 AM
Honestly, I love the new WCI system, but I believe the old ones were more fair. If we are going to continue the new system, I think there should be some adjustments to make it not too hard, because the person going to win is most likely the person who gets 3/4 potd.
Suggested System
-Player of the day: 200 points
-Daily/Weekly contests/games (its a wci, we need to have fun around here, and it proves skill if you win many): 500-1000 points
-XP: 0.5
-Old Posts: 0.2
-New Posts: 0.3
-New and Old Reputation: 0.5
Old views: 0.1
New Views: 0.2
etc.
Ideas for contests
-Snowball Server rounds
-Damenball Games
-Fashion Contest
-Hide and Seek
-Death Match rounds of Damenball (Where the first person to get 5 points by themself wins)
-Best Igloo contest (Could be new or old.The contest would be 30 minutes to create the best igloo, and judges would review them if the contestant was still at the office.)
-Death Match Snowball Server (Where if you die, then you lose. You must be in the town at all times when it starts, and if you die, you're out. All invincibility is against the rules unless not playing. Last standing wins [no hiding])
-1 Stage Moderator Competition (where the winning team each gets 200 points and the best leader gets 500 points for wci.)
etc.
There should also be a different way that player of the day works, like all around points. http://forums.damenspike.com/view/?id=46914
Anyways, I think that improvements should be made if we are keeping the current one, it would just be natural. People can just spam posts for the season and win the competition.

It's okay. You didn't know. You don't need experience or a trusted rank like Master, it is just better to have ranks like that so you are more trusted, but we have had many moderators that didn't have experience before moderating/being a moderator. We also have moderator competitions that don't matter about experience. Good luck for future reference!

It was very brave of you to make a video rather than making a post. I enjoyed it. Good luck on getting Moderator, Mikey.
I agree, I love that you had to confidence even at your age to make a video. I feel like you have great qualities to be a moderator, and that you can be entrusted with this rank. Thank you for being a great friend and helper to the dsghq.

That's awesome! Congratulations, and good luck on more future accomplishments involved with reputation and posts. I'm close to 4000 reputation and 3000 posts, I will be looking forward to that.

She means about the person who posted before you. Have you ever seen them, known them, anywhere, on the forums, irl, etc.

Honestly, this is a very basic and easy game, but I like it. I have seen you before, but I don't really know you personally.
