CO BAN WORLD RECORD

31st January 2021, 08:28 PM
I am proud to announce that I, Bob AKA MuscleBob1, am the new record holder for the Crime Office discord server ban speedrun. I was banned in a swift 2 minutes and 15 seconds for saying the four magic words, "hi im tents alt." I would like to thank everyone who supported me in my attempt to break this world record, and I am glad to have had the opportunity to achieve such an accomplishment in this community.
Thank you for reading.

Operation: Bury the Hatchet
Snaildom Event
This just in! Reports suggest that a snail by the name of Gerald has been kidnapped for what appears to be “unfinished business” with the kidnapper. It is said that Gerald has intel on this kidnapper, as well as an emerging villain group which the kidnapper is suspected to be a part of.
We need your help. Kace and I are launching a mini investigation on this kidnapping, which will begin at 5PM EST on Wednesday, May 20, at the inn. There will be a few suspects and witnesses scattered across the map. You can question them and gather evidence in order to crack the case. The first to solve this mystery will win 500 gold. Good luck, detective.

Team Bob's Proposals
•
11th May 2020, 01:36 AM
Hello, my name is Bob, and if you're not aware already, I am running for King Regent with Kace, who is running for King Helper.
Before I start off this post, I'd like to give a big thanks to all of my supporters, and especially to those who gave their feedback to help make these proposals as best as possible: Kace, Donovan, Vance, Zeternal, and Tahir.
Now without wasting any more time, let's get straight into the proposals.
Economy
We think we could use the bank in order to trade gold, silver, and iron in for coins. For example, 5 iron = 1 coin, 5 silver = 2 coins, 5 gold = 5 coins. We also thought about having a system which pays users for their jobs weekly; detectives and knights could get 250 coins per week, while moderators could get 500 coins per week. As for quests, they will come out often, possibly every few days, with a small reward in coins. Not only that, but we would like to implement a command which allows users to transfer coins to each other. And finally, we could add some new ores, such as diamonds, which would be very rare, and/or some more common ores, like copper.
Moderators
If my party wins the election, we plan on alternating between redemptions and Game of Mods on a three month cycle; for example, redemptions will occur in the spring and fall, while Game of Mods occurs in the summer and winter. We think this will be a good way to make sure we have the best possible staff, and it will help motivate the moderators to stay active and work hard. Not only that, but it will give other users a chance to earn ranks. Both redemptions and Game of Mods will operate as they currently do. These are not the only methods we will be using to make changes to the staff team, however. We will very occasionally promote and demote staff members based on whether or not they can handle the responsibilities of moderator. When deciding on new staff members, we will take into consideration factors such as timezone, activity, responsibility, helpfulness, and many more.
Crimezone
Crimezone will be a part of Snaildom, and we can provide dedicated writers and actors to begin a new, creative storyline. Anyone will be able to participate in crimezone, but the detective rank will be seen as someone who is consistently involved with solving investigations. The inspector will be tasked with managing and leading the Crime Office, with the sergeant as second in charge. The inspector and the sergeant will decide the Crime Office roster, keep track of clues, and schedule meetings with other detectives. Users who solve a case can receive up to 10,000 gold, depending on the difficulty of the case; these users will also have a higher chance of becoming a detective, if not one already. The Crime Office will simply be seen as a more organized unit of crime solvers that will work together in order to solve cases; they can also cooperate with anyone else that would like to participate in crimezone.
Items
We would like to have a variety of clothing and furniture in the game, and preferably with monthly new releases, like Club Penguin has done. We also would like to incorporate new blacksmith items into Snaildom sometime down the road, which can be done by adding more ores, as suggested above. Not only would we like to add more blacksmith items, but we think it would be easier for users if these items were organized into categories, plus giving users the ability to upgrade these items. See Kace’s post for further information, including a concept of this system, linked at the bottom.
Other Ranks
As for knights, we propose adding a prison, much like OldCP, and giving knights commands to arrest and release rule breakers and criminals. If violence ends up being removed from Snaildom, this will help the rank keep its purpose; it could also be useful if there are no moderators online. Wise Ones will keep their role, and if violence is removed, Wise Healers will become Wise Ones. There will always be a Wise One, as well as some witnesses, to input their thoughts and ideas during a trial. Snail Watch will be added, but with a small number of users, perhaps 3-5. We had a concept of a “Helper” rank in mind, which would be like an apprentice to a moderator, however we decided it would be best to merge this with Snail Watch. These users will be undercover and may be promoted to moderator over time, with new Snail Watch members to take their place. And last but not least, there will also be a Lord/Lady of the Bank; this will have to be a very trustworthy user, of course.
Promotion
Our final proposal is promotion. Since Snaildom is not as popular as OldCP, we plan on hosting more events weekly, which could include game nights. We will help to make Snaildom more interactive, with the use of crimezone, new quests, and possibly more NPCs to go along with them. We would also like to have more user-created stories to be made into books and sold in the library. Another way of promoting the game we thought of is to have partnerships with other communities, for example, a Discord server which is completely unrelated to the DSGHQ. This would be a great way to bring in more users, not just for Snaildom, but the DSGHQ in general. However, we would first like to have the administration approve these partnerships before making a move, just to make sure Snaildom and the rest of the DSGHQ will be as safe and secure as possible.
I appreciate those who read through the whole thing. I tried to keep it short, but I apologize if it was too long; my team and I have some big ideas. Also, don’t forget to check out our Discord server if you’re supporting us, so you don’t miss out on rallies, information, and more! You can also suggest some more ideas there, which would be much appreciated.

Allow me to clarify why such a harsh punishment is now here for this sort of thing.
To understand it, you have to imagine you're me for a second.
If my players want their share to be on a rival OldCP, then they will have no share on my OldCP. I worked hard on it, see how many years I put into it. I worked hard on it for YOU to enjoy! I want you to enjoy it, but by doing so in a way which respects me and my hard work i.e. on oldcp.biz, not some other copy.
Now, if anyone wants to make a rival OldCP, do so using your OWN custom work, don't take mine and I shall have no issue with you playing it. But play an OldCP with my stuff copied into it and you will have no share with me.
This is only for a game which copies my work (weapons, files, any client code at even the smallest amount). If you still think its too harsh, then you may be struggling to understand how much this means to me.

Don't get me wrong, I respect you and all the hard work and creativity you've put into your games as well as this forum, and I'm grateful for all of it. But I think the main reason users are leaving is because they want more involvement in things, for example, making crimezone open to anyone like it was in 2013. Another example would be giving more users a chance at ranks, such as knight. I understand how much this means to you and I can definitely see how Lex is copying some aspects of OldCP, however the weapons are not all the same and I do not think your custom room files are being used for it; he's only taking some inspiration from your ideas.
I haven't played OldCP in a long time so my knowledge of current OldCP is not great, but from what I've heard from many others, the rules (and punishments) can sometimes be strict, and regular users are not always involved in the storyline or other events. I just feel like the community would be a better, more fun place if people with ranks didn't get all the attention and recognition. Again, I haven't played this game in a while so I don't know how it's changed, this is just from what I've seen in the past or recently heard about.

Sled pours a lot of time into this place; she knows what's going on. She's not blind. But there is only so much she can do both by only being one person, and the level of control that she is allowed to have by Damen, which is not all that much it seems.
So maybe keep the focus on actual issues, hm?
First of all, they never asked anyone to grief your server. Second, Sled brought the whole Minecraft situation up.
Now back on topic, I understand where you're coming from, I'm just trying to say all the staff, not just her, need to be aware of what is going on and how they can resolve these issues. If they don't want users to leave, they need to listen to all opinions from the community.

oh no I know the flaws and I am trying my best to make it better. It's just funny to me because I have 0 respect for this particular person. He griefed the DSGHQ minecraft server with his friends so I could care less about what he has to say. I'll listen to anyone else who has issues with the game and try to fix those issues, but oh no, not this kid. Also he's been talking about me behind my back about stuff that happened two years ago. He needs to get a life.

None of them ever griefed. But they did have solid evidence of a mod breaking the rules which you continued to censor from everyone else...which adds to my argument.

I never expected to be posting on here again but here I am. I'm just going to keep this relatively short.
You aren't going to solve anything by banning people for leaving this community; clearly there is something wrong if this many people are continuing to leave. Giving people harsh punishments for stupid reasons is unethical. Not only that, but it gives the community a bad image. Lex's CPPS is gaining popularity because people believe OldCP would be better if it were run differently than it is now. Also, the argument, "Lex copied OldCP," is invalid because every single CPPS is a copy of Club Penguin. I understand that Damen added some custom rooms, however it is not yet confirmed whether or not they will be used in Lex's CPPS. Rather than banning people for leaving, the administration should reflect on what's wrong and assess themselves on what they could do better in order to improve the game so these users will return and be motivated to play.
Quote from Zeternal:
I don't want to cause more drama or any arguments, I just hope you guys can understand where we are coming from. Listen to what the users want instead of letting the game die out. It just isn't fair to ban people for this. Thanks for reading.

If you are so concerned about Damen’s hard work, maybe you should take a step back and acknowledge why in the first place people are declining in appreciation: this entire community has gone to crap with its rogue staff and user base. Truly getting the full experience of OldCP is not a tale of hard work, only a tale of how much people like you to include you in events such as CZ. The mere fact that the staff have to take drastic measures as to scare people from joining a competing CPPS by threatening them with a ban shows that OldCP cannot hold it together and crumbles at the sight of a challenge. Instead of guilt tripping and threatening people for leaving for an alternative CPPS, give them a reason to stay. Instead of being so arrogant and thinking that your precious OldCP is picture perfect, acknowledge that it has its faults and fix them. Denying these faults only causes more controversy. You see, I’m not tryna just take the piss on OldCP for no reason. I’m trying to also offer a solution so this doesn’t happen again. The staff that are taking the measures to ban people are only driving people like me and others away. I was a dedicated user, albeit I left, I considered coming back but after a sudden turn in events that have happened before, I’m not surprised that this blew up the way it did. I believe we can all mature if we finally talk about the elephant in the room.
I don't want to cause more drama or any arguments, I just hope you guys can understand where we are coming from. Listen to what the users want instead of letting the game die out. It just isn't fair to ban people for this. Thanks for reading.

Ight so basically, you may or may not have noticed, but I kinda left a couple months ago and today I decided to make it official. I think I'm leaving for good this time. I don't have time to be chillin' on here. It's been quite a ride, I joined back in 2013 when times were simpler. I accomplished many goals on this community through the years. I'm 15 now so life is getting busy. Anyways imma keep it short, so thanks to all the homies for making my time here great, and if you wanna keep in touch, I'll plug my disc.

Personal Story (hit by plane)
•
2nd June 2019, 11:45 AM
Gru is the most powerful being in the universe, and here’s why: according to the height of a Minion (which is 3.5 feet on average) Gru is 4 minions tall, which means he is a godly size of 14 feet tall. Second if any of you remember the original Despicable Me, you know there is a scene when Vector kidnaps the three girls and shoots a series of heat-seeking missiles at Gru, he then dodges them all. According to the speed of an average ballistic missile (1900 mph) and the size of the missile according to his ankle size, Gru can perceive and move at such a speed that the missiles only move 9.5 miles per hour, 0.5% of their original speed. Plus after this Gru punches a shark and it is paralyzed meaning its spine is probably shattered, to remind you it would require a force greater than 3,000 newtons to fracture the spine. That’s equal to the impact created by a 500-pound car crashing into a wall at 30 miles per hour. I rest my case.
