Main Username: Thecommander
Timezone: CST
Past Ranks: I've been moderator on OldCP, xat and here on the forums. Currently master on forums. As well as the first ever News Anchor.
Past Experience: I've been with the DSGHQ since the birth of the forums. Making the old news videos back in 2014-2016 was when I was most active on the forums. And I've never really lost the spark to check the forums every 3-4 hours or so. Given my occupation irl, im extremely reliable and accessible. I help people in the real world. I care for them just like I do here in the DSGHQ.
I'd love to be able to do that again.

Again, as the other two stated before me, you're doing a great job as an Admin. You just have to take these particular situations and learn from it... and then move on.
I think it's extremely admirable that you apologized and explained what happened to the users who don't have access to see the context of what's going on here. The easy thing would have been to sweep this under the rug and move on. But you didn't. You admitted you were wrong, even posting the original post (which you didn't have to do).
From what I've seen here.. you can tell that you're really sorry and that you're willing to go the extra mile to make it right. And that's just exactly what I'd expect from any member of the staff here, not just Admins.

I agree dance, especially being here for nearly 5 years too. the place has changed so much that i don’t feel accepted by these new users, i don’t feel like they want to get to know me.. how can I immerse myself into oldcp if i left during one community and am now rejoined in another?
i’d do anything to make oldcp the haven it once was.

Beautifully put. Couldn't have said it more perfectly myself!

As I've kept saying, we need to go back to the things that WORKED. Oldcp's golden days were when Damen didnt deviate much from what Club Penguin had going in OLDcp, with the art style and overall experience. We all come to hang out and make our own fun.
I remember hosting beach parties and things to get everyone involved. Much like the old Club Penguin did with parties.
To be perfectly clear, I am NOT against the empire or all the new CZ. But my point is... ever since we deviated from what OldCP used to be, the amount of new users logging in dropped dramatically.
I don't speak for all the old users but for the most of us, yes, we grow up... but we leave because it just isn't the same anymore.
Why fix something that wasn't broken?

Wow! As everyone stated above me, well done! This report not only tells us what happened but does it spectacularly in a such a way that the reader feels as though they were there.

I hope HopeBound turns out good, but since you've been inactive for a bit you could put someone else in charge of the wise moth council temporarily, because so far, nothing has happened and the wise moth council is boring.
Agreed.

I have to respectively disagree. Though flash itself may come to an end, I dont think OldCP (the TRUE Old Club Penguin.. without the empire) ever truly died. It's my belief that OldCP.biz would thrive again if we brought back the things that seemed go get users online.
