Congratulations! Leveling up is quite a big achievement. To get to the next level you must post more, and earn more reputation points. Your status of how much more you need to complete/earn, is located in your profile next to your level. Only you can see it. It should look something like this. :

Progress
XP :

Posted in What have I ever done in life? • 22nd June 2015, 08:59 PM

You have accomplished something! Something more valuable then all of the trophies, and awards in the entire world. Friendship. Friendship, I personally believe, is the greatest accomplishment anyone could achieve. You've made so many friends in this HQ, and most likely in real life as well. You've made various people laugh, cry, and just enjoy life. Trophies and awards make you happy at the moment, but later on you can't depend on a trophy to be there for you when you're sad, or if you need a little love! <3 Besides friendship, you've most likely achieved a lot more then you think. In your life, everyone does at some point. Even though you may not have an award, or rank to prove it, you have. Like Jacob said, you must believe, and trust in yourself in order to succeed. Which goes along with one of my first quotes.

~ If you believe you can succeed. ~

Helping new users

Greetings

Recently, I've been seeing quite a few new users come to Oldcp, and the forums as well. Today I wanted to give all of you a friendly reminder to treat new comers with respect, and to give them a warm welcome. By assisting them you could be doing a lot more then you might think. Just imagine you were a new user yourself at one point.

Their point of view

When a new user makes their way into the DSGHQ, they feel a bit lost at first. You may often find them in Oldcp asking questions on how this community runs, and how Oldcp works. New users often don't understand everything we might know already, it takes time for them to understand how it works in their new journey. They try to fit in as well as possible, but sometimes that can be hard if they aren't already familiar with this community and the people in it. They might apply for something, and not realize it requires member first. They might enter a gold comp, but have no idea what forums is. They might even struggle to make friends, because everyone has already separated into their circle of friends already. It could be a little tough trying to fit into a community that's been around for so long. It is our job to make sure new users don't struggle, and that they feel welcome in this HQ.

What we can do to help new users

There are various ways you can help out a new user who comes into this HQ. If you see a new user online, do your best to explain to them how to do simple tasks in this HQ. Whether it is on forums, or Oldcp. Show them how to get clothes, remind them about the rules, give them a tour of Oldcp, and you could even introduce them to forums! Believe me, they will really appreciate what you are doing for them in the long run. On forums it's even easier, because all of the resources are around you. When a user is new to the forums, I've noticed they usually make one of these posts.

1. A greeting post to introduce themselves to the forums.

Or

2. An application to try to earn a rank in this HQ.

They could, and probably do post something different from the options above, but these are two options that I believe we all see most of the time. Either way, you always want to give them some guidelines so they can really enjoy this HQ. Some ways of doing that are, including the links to various discussions that you think might guide them in the right direction. Such as the rules, a tutorial of the forums, and even the staff list so the users know who to go to if they have a problem. But, remember don't disclude yourself out of the picture when it comes to lending them a hand. :)

How it will make you feel

After you help out a new user, it will make you feel satisfied. Like you've accomplished something, and even though it's so small you have made their day a whole lot brighter. It will even allow you to make a new friend that day. Thus making you a happier person, and making the DSGHQ a happier place. Helping new users is actually how I have made most of my friends in the HQ today. When I was a Moderator, I would run into all types of users. Some were new, some were old, and some have been her long enough to understand how this HQ works. I would get new users come up to me all the time, and I would explain to them all about this HQ, and help them from time to time. Most of them are still great friends of mine today. So, take the chance to not only help the user, but to be their friend as well. It will make not only you feel good, but the user will feel loved in a way as well. Moderator, knight, or even if you're a normal user, take the chance to get to know them. You could get a lot more out of it then you might have expected. ;)

Overall, take the chance to help out a new user. Even the smallest act of kindness can make a difference in their eyes. It will be a great service for the entire community if you do. <3

Thank you for taking the time to read my discussion! If you liked this post be sure to give it a +1, but if you didn't feel free to give it a -1. I do hope you enjoyed it. Have a nice day! :star:

Yours truly,

~ Angi :star:

No one is invisible, darling. We are all here for a reason, and no on should be excluded. What makes you feel that you are being treated unfairly? I understand you are going through a lot of pain right now, so it is best to talk about it and explain what happened to someone. If you would like to express your feelings more accurately, feel free to pm me and I can help you sort things out.

I suggest you pm a fellow staff member to lock this post, if you want. I highly suggest informing a forums Moderator who is online about this just because they are very active and quick about situations like these. I shall provide you with the staff list.

I hope this has helped you out, and good luck finding someone to lock this post due to drama.

Well, I looked at your profile a bit, and I noticed quite a lot of color! Your personality seems to be very outgoing, in a good way. Here are the top five photos I found that I personally think would match your profile.

I know some of these may seem a little random, but I honestly didn't know specifically what you were looking for. I chose these five photos based on your profile, and what your personality seems to be. I wish you the best of luck on deciding a new profile picture!

It is probably on it's way to your forums account. Remember to have patience, and it will eventually arrive. If you don't receive it in about 4-5 days, I suggest contacting Damen through a pm, email, or skype. I hope this helped, and good luck!

Posted in Hacker on OldCP? • 21st June 2015, 07:39 PM

It is not very likely for someone to actually hack into another persons account. Unless someone told the "hacker" their password, there is a 99% chance that hacking wouldn't occur. I suggest before you post your hunch, that you find out more information about the user who will apparently "hack". They are probably all talk and no action, if they sound serious.

I suggest that you lock this post instead of just editing it. Locking it is more efficient and it will stop the drama once and for all.

Welcome back, May! It seems that two of us has returned. ;) I missed you greatly while I was gone, and I was very confused why you weren't on the staff list when I came back.

I believe what you did was the right thing. Apologizing shows maturity, and I couldn't be more proud. <3

Like May said, do whatever music you enjoy the most, and maybe make it have some relation to you. You could also make the music have some relation to your profile in theme. When I look at your profile, I see that you are very bright and ambitious. You also love animals, so maybe if you know a catchy webkinz song that you like, you could make that your profile background music. I hope this helped!

I believe you must create your own /jr. Here is a tutorial I found on how you can create your own jr room!
