Alice I am very proud of you for making this application. You put yourself out there, and you followed your heart. I like that. You seem to have potential indeed, but like Swirlie said. Your answers were indeed a bit short for an application of such importance. Moderator is a big responsibility, and you must be able to understand quite a lot for day to day Moderation. Moderators are always precise and quick. They also know how to be strict at times, while having a good time. If they weren't there would be a rather large amount of chaos in Oldcp/forums. With time they can handle almost any situation that comes their way. Don't get me wrong, you have been in the HQ for a decent amount of time in which you have succeeded in much experience, but maybe you still need to show the staff what you can do. You have demonstrated a lot in the past, but maybe it's time to take it up a level and work even harder. Things like badges, and views, don't matter as much as your experience in game. In game is where you can show your skills. But Alice you must promise me one thing, that you will never give up. I believe that one day you can become a Moderator, and please don't take this as a negative response to your application. I'm only trying to help. I suggest that you try to prove yourself worthy through lesser ranks such as imperial knight, banker, detective, etc. You can do great things, I'm sure of it. If you want to one day become a Moderator it takes effort, determination, patience, and remember to always be kind. I can tell you know your way around this HQ, and you want to earn something to help. You can, and will achieve something one day. Good luck Alice, you have a bright future in this HQ. <3 :star:

Your reputation needs to increase, once you have reached the correct amount you can get promoted. When you do earn member no need to write a discussion on it, you could have simply asked a staff member to promote you. No worries!

Posting a video is much like posting an image to the forums. If you already know how to do that these instructions will be quite simple.

Instructions

Step 1 : Find a video that you would like to post on your profile, or discussion. It must be uploaded to youtube in order for this to work.

Step 2 : Right click the video and then click, get/copy URL

Step 3 : For this step there are two options.

Option 1 : Click the blue "video" icon above where you are typing your discussion.

In the grey typing box you will see this.
Quote:
[ video ] [ / video ]

Paste the video URL into the two ]['s.

Option 2 : Type out
Quote:
[ video ] [ / video ]

and paste the Url in between the two ]['s.

Step 4 : Post and enjoy!

I hope these instructions have helped you out. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me, or a fellow staff member for more help.

If you would like to earn the cold play badge I suggest you title this discussion "Will Champion" Or just "Coldplay". I would hate for all of your hard work in this lovely discussion go to waste.

Ellie basically explained it all! But just for a little extra info :

Before you apply for the rank of Moderator, you must earn member on forums. The requirements for member are 30 rep and 50 posts. Here is your current amount.

You must also have a decent amount of experience in this HQ, so try to get familiar with this community for about a month or two. Just so you can really understand how everything here works while gaining experience. As you can see at the moment you currently do not reach the requirements for Moderator, but don't fret! I'm sure with a lot of effort, hard work, and determination you can do it! :) I wish you good luck on your journey in the DSGHQ.

This discussion simply states facts not including the titled question. To answer the question in the title, Squid ward I believe is a new enemy of the HQ. I could be wrong, but this is what I have heard so far.

Agreed. Creating more then two accounts online do have cons, especially if they are causing trouble.

* another reason : The spamming causes lag.

I appreciate your enthusiasm to earn a rank, but you do not reach the requirements yet I'm afraid. Before you strive to earn Moderator please achieve the following.

- Earn Member

- Have more expirience in this HQ.

- Prove yourself worthy by reaching the requirements for Moderator. ( Follow the rules, report misbehaving users to staff, etc )

- *suggestion Do not invite staff to applications it will not increase your chances in earning a rank.

In order to earn Member, you must achieve 30 rep and 50 posts. Here is your current amount.

As you can see you do not yet reach the requirements, but don't fret! I'm sure with more hard work, experience, and hope, you can do it!

* I'm not going to explain the rest of the bullet points because they are pretty obvious. Although if you do have a question feel free to respond.

This is a beautiful news report, Saber. You defiantly deserve to become a news reporter if you continue reports like this in the future. Well done, and good luck!

Posted in Resignation ~ Angi • 3rd May 2015, 10:19 AM

Hello fellow users of the DSGHQ

I have made the decision today to resign from my rank of Moderator on Oldcp. I understand this is a little sudden, but I feel it's not only the best for myself, but for the best of the community.

I have had enough fun here to last a lifetime, and I'll miss it very much. I have been getting more involved with things in my real life. This was a tough decision and I will miss Moderating this community very dearly.

In real life, I have been extremely busy with gymnastics. I have leveled up gradually over the years, and the pace has been speeding up. It is getting more competitive, and I'm afraid I don't have the time to log on once in a while. I know some people might think that gymnastics doesn't take up too much time, but I really want to focus on it for personal reasons. I also have various other predicaments that I need to focus on, such as my grades. So, as you can see I am very busy. If I continued being a Moderator, you would probably see me rarely in Oldcp, and I would rather be a normal user then an irresponsible staff member.

I am not resigning because of the DSGHQ, it has been a wonderful experience. I am resigning for personal reasons, and only personal reasons. Believe me, if I could stay I would but it's just too much to balance between events in real life, as well as the DSGHQ. I had to make the right decision, and sometimes that's hard. Remember this isn't something where I'll come back in three weeks begging for my rank back, it's different.

Thank you for all of the memories the DSGHQ has supplied to me, I have met many wonderful users who I will never forget.

Yours Truly,

~ Angi "The one and only."

Recommendations
I've watched these users for a while, and I feel they deserve the chance to Moderate the DSGHQ.

I will do my best to attend, I hope everything will turn out well in the end.

(I'm just stating my opinion) he might of been hacked

Response : He could have been hacked, although there is a 99 percent chance that it didn't get hacked. Hacking is very unlikely, and it doesn't usually occur in the DSGHQ. If it does, it's extremely rare.

Well done on this fine application of yours. Is a fellow imperial knight training you at the moment? If not I suggest asking one of them for a few training sessions, it will improve your skills quite a lot.
