Then he took an ss of himself on the account and fooled Orlock into changing my iOldCP account pass.
So it wasn't a case of "I had a weak password", which is something some of the rumors says.

Just goes to show that anyone asking for a password change should be required to mail someone via the forums, in any case. I'm so sorry that happened to you!

Why was iOldCP made in the first place... look where giving users the power to run a game got us I- lol

Close iOldCP and start finding ways to make OldCP active again.
Sleddy wrote on 20th June 2019, 12:35 PM:
I agree with this because iOldCP basically takes OldCP’s users away, and it’s been nothing but trouble when it comes down to it. I find it as a waste of money on damen’s side. But if he closes iOldCP he needs to be actively working on OldCP to make it better and active again. The only one up iOldCP has is an active emperor who tries to make it good with his own CZ
I agree with all of the above! To me, iOldCP was just another version of OldCP but with the sole purpose of having a different Emperor. It seemed like an experiment to see how the community would react to the general users being in charge. Although it does have a few unique traits compared to OldCP, I feel like having TWO club penguin remakes under the DSGHQ name divides the userbase too much. I have to log onto two different websites to see what's going on and if an event is happening (like CZ). On the very rare occasion that there is something mildly interesting taking place, there's barely 5 users on at most times - which is way too little activity on any game to truly be fun. I side with what Hashir said about finding ways to boost the user count...my advice is the possibility of having regular events on only OldCP. But in terms of versatility on a Club Penguin game, there's actually very little to do unless you think outside of the box. The majority of time, people just talk to one another, which you can also do on pretty much every game & social media platform ever created. As the people in the community have grown older, they are less intrigued by the simple things. There has to be something that they can have fun with as they've matured. If administrators could find a way to add features to the game that no CP remake has ever thought of, it's a high bet that you'd have greater interest. Though I'm not sure what those additions would be, or if that kind of work can be realistically done, it may be worthwhile collecting suggestions. Despite that this is off-topic feedback to the question, I believe that the current CZ roleplay just isn't cutting it for most players; I've talked to people who have no idea what the storyline is even about. I genuinely love this community and always have, but as we progress into the future, everything in life constantly evolves. Maybe it's time for OldCP to evolve? Or perhaps rethink it entirely.

I really liked reading this post, because the enthusiasm and positive attitude you have about bringing OldCP back to its glory days definitely lights hope in some people. I will add that I personally believe the reason for OldCP & the DSGHQ's lack of activity now stems more so from kids aging into adults, and not so much about moderator positions or trying to find improvement to implement in the game. Disney's Club Penguin was THE thing back in the earlier 2000s, but all of the young kids that once played the game are now in their older teenage years or have reached adulthood. There are other CP remakes out there with more players, which sort of hinges on the point I just stated, but my opinion is that the older members of original CP only stay a little while for nostalgia...and then they move on with their lives. Everyone grows up, so it's only fair to think that everyone eventually finds a new interest. There are a select few that stick around, as we can see with people who have been in this community for years, but for the majority it's simply a phase. It's really sad to think about, because no one wants to let go of their childhood, but it's just what happens to most games - they come to an end. Those that returned to the DSGHQ who played around 2014 also now realize that ranks do not matter, and they only want friendships to build on - at least I believe most realize that. So, I actually don't think the problem comes from an unfair choosing of mods or people vying for power - perhaps people outside of the staff circle really don't think about it much anymore. I remember when everyone used to strive so hardcore for mod, but I can see that went downhill over the years, which is actually a good thing (people realized that power isn't everything). Anyway, I think the mindset that I'm in right now is that I'll cherish the days that OldCP has left and create as many friendships with genuine people in the game as possible, but when the Club Penguin phase of our generation is over, I'll accept it knowing that OldCP had a great running. Still, I really, really enjoyed hearing your ideas about bringing the game back alive! It tug my heartstrings a little bit, thinking back to all of the memories I've had here. Keep up the hope you have, it's a great quality.

Quitting

Hey Leah!
I think I forgot to reply to this a couple of days ago, but I just wanted to say how sad I am to see you go. I know you've been through a lot in your life and have had your share of ups and downs, so I understand your reasons for quitting. I'll always cherish the memories we've had laughing over jokes and supporting one another even though we've drifted apart a little. I also really appreciate the person that you are and how you have the ability to admit to your mistakes; not many people have that in them. I hope your life is full of nothing but happiness and adventure for you...and I also hope we get to catch up every now and then. Nothing but love for you

Aye Sled. I don't know you exceptionally well, but I just want to say that I've admired your kindness and sincerity as a supporter of everyone in this community. I remember you from a few years ago and I've read a lot of your comments and posts on here, but I never truly got to know you on a personal basis. I can see from afar though that you're a sweet person who just wants the best for other people, and I actually really appreciate that. This place has definitely gone downhill, and that's an unfortunate and saddening reality. Thank you for being one of the very few genuine people I've seen; I wish you the best and hope you have a great life outside of the DSGHQ.

The Community Has Changed.
•

I completely agree. I'm an old player and member of the community, and I visited in December to find myself sticking around. I think the main reason people haven't been interested in getting to know former users is because the DSGHQ has developed into an isolated environment. Everyone has their own friends already, and they're not into the idea of putting in the effort to get to know someone they haven't met yet. I absolutely love the friends I've made here, don't get me wrong - I've created a lot of lifelong friendships. But to people who don't already know me, I'm like a stranger you pass on the street...practically someone you can see but don't pay much attention to. It makes me a little disappointed to be honest; I miss the fun I used to have here and the laughs I used to have when talking to someone and finding common ground with interests and hobbies. Although this place will always be a great part of my childhood, the drama and poor class/sportsmanship definitely weighs against the likability of it. I hope people can read what you have to say and take it to heart. There's a lot of kind and genuine people here, but you have to look a little hard to find them. Thanks for putting my thoughts into words - really well written!

This may be a game but most of us have spent years here together. We've all had our moments, good or bad. But we all eventually come back in one form or another.
I just think it's cool that this DSGHQ community is still here.

I completely agree! It's also kind of crazy to think about how an online forum/game could bring together so many people as friends.

You don't know me very well, but I've seen you around OldCP every so often and I've loved reading some of your "Fox News" posts, lol! I just wanted to reply before you leave to wish you good luck with school & your other real life activities. You seem like a very nice person, and I think everyone can understand your reasons for having to call it quits. I hope you have a wonderful future and visit back sometime
