I actually find it cool that you guys are advertising going vegan now, LOL. I've been vegetarian on & off for a few years, and the amount of things I've learned about meat & dairy are really surprising. I sometimes eat eggs and products like ice cream, but I develop skin problems when I consume highly concentrated dairy products (pure milk, or yogurt). Definitely not entirely vegan, but still, kudos to y'all for spreading the word about health! Not many people know about the negative effects of meat and cholesterol. And because milk comes from cows, the 'genetic makeup' of it is foreign to your body. Here's a link to a video/post about meat made by a natural doctor my family has followed for years, just in case anyone's interested: (No offense to any non-vegans or non-vegetarians) https://www.herbdoc.com/blog/eating-meat-is-hazardous-to-your-health

Fondest Memories of OldCP
•
28th January 2019, 04:16 PM
Since 2019 arrived just under a month ago, I figured it would be fun to make a lighthearted post asking you guys to share your favorite memories of playing OldCP! I'm an old user who decided to visit late last month and I ended up deciding to stick around for a while to enjoy conversations with you all again. I've loved reminiscing old times with everybody during my time back thus far, so I thought what better way to kick off the new year than to rediscover treasured moments!
So, to make this short and simple, please feel free to drop a story, some screenshots, or just a few words describing some of your favorite times playing the game. It could be anything special to you; meeting new friends, beating an enemy in CZ, winning a competition, etc. My favorite moments consist of meeting all of the friends I have now and getting to get to know each of them for all of their unique talents and kind personalities. The DSGHQ has certainly filled my childhood with a ton of fun, so I'd love nothing more than to hear how the community has impacted you too. I'm excited to find out what your fondest memories are!
Thanks for readin'

I only returned a little over a month ago, and I have witnessed the exact same as you. This community, or whatever it has become now, has changed tremendously since 4-5 years ago, and it saddens me to have to confront that truth. I really love a lot of the people here, but the "greedy-ness" and "self-absorption" per se has turned this place into a hectic environment when that should be the last thing the DSGHQ becomes. I agree with this post wholeheartedly and I hope people can take your words & create positive change alongside them.

OLDCP moderator application - Tom

This was actually a great application. I like how you have the advantage of something different than the usual applicant -- a somewhat rare timezone (which puts you in a unique position) and experience as a former moderator. Best of luck!

Love this! You pretty much thought out every little detail, and you also greatly explained how this would work as part of the game. I hope your ideas end up being used.

The Value of Friendship
•
4th January 2019, 01:27 PM
AW HAHA. I love you so much and you mean the absolute world to me. We had so many fun memories together back in the days, but I feel like we've become the closest we've ever been in just the past few weeks. I really appreciate you and I sincerely hope that we can stay friends for a very long time. It's actually an honor to share the name "Dance" with someone like you, LOL! You're truly like the older sister I have never had. You look out for everyone you love, and are never afraid to speak your mind when honesty matters most. You're one of a kind, and kind of a savage...but I love you for that.

Snaildom : What's your favorite memory?

Omg, yes! I loved literally everything you pointed out, but also the Mining Game and when we had the 'Damen's Apprentice' competition. Creating stories with friends were always my favorite though! I remember creating so many outfits on there. I truly miss it.

I love you. It's impossible to explain how much I love you. You're my absolute best friend and I've appreciated your friendship since the beginning. Just like Indigo said, those close to you will always support you until the end. I agree with everything you mentioned, and everything I stated on Pablo's goodbye post also applies to your statements. You have such a big heart, an insane amount of intelligence and wisdom to share, and a whole lot of love. It's crazy to think that someone at your age could be so ahead of her time. I've learned a ton about myself in this community and it's genuinely shaped me somewhat into the person that I am today - I was so lucky to be able to meet you here and I couldn't ask for a better friend. I love your comedy and your jokes, but I also really love how you always stay true to your values and what's really important, even if you have to be honest with yourself and with others. That's insanely rare to find in today's world, especially online. I know we'll still be talking often, so I don't want to make this comment TOO cheesy. But yeah, you know where I stand and how much I love you. I hope we have many more awesome memories to share together!

All I can say is that I hope you know how incredible you are. Not many people have the same mindset, kindness and sincerity you have. You worded this exceptionally well, which makes your points overwhelmingly transparent - I don't think I could agree more with anything you said. The friends I've made here and the people who have been there for me in this community is what made me return to the game in the first place, just like you. It's actually really saddening to me to come to the realization that with the exception of few, not many people here have the awareness yet to realize that friendship and love for others should be put foremost. I have loved the DSGHQ so much in the past, and I still love it, but I do think it's a little disappointing when some people can't put real values first. Sometimes, the reason they play is simply for a rank or to achieve an accomplishment they believe means the most. And sometimes, because of that rank or accomplishment, they feel they have authority over you. Anyway, without getting too in depth into the dramatic stuff, I am so thankful that I got to meet you here. I know we'll still be talking often (probably in the next 10 minutes, lol) but I wanted to write this to make sure you know how appreciated you are. You're an amazing friend, and it's a blessing that I've been able to get to know you. Love ya, Pabs!

I love you so much, oh my gosh. You're literally one of the most sweetest and endearing people I've ever met. You have such a sincere first impression & I'm so glad I got to say hello to you before you left for good. I really hope we can stay in touch! You're amazing.

I suggest the ideas recommended by both Swirlie and Loki. It'd be great to have an import option once death is permanent like Swirlie proposed, so you don't lose the items purchased on your old account. Although, on the other hand, I can understand how transferring those items could devalue what an account was worth before death. And like Loki stated, if you have long-term timely revivals, I believe it still maintains the value of special usernames. Awesome updates otherwise!

I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to you here, and why you left. The things you stated you said are incredibly minor and entirely understandable, so you have nothing to worry about that way. I'm just happy you've come for a visit and I'm so glad that I got to say hello to you again. I really hope you've enjoyed your time back thus far as much as I've enjoyed seeing you around!
