There's no point, Snailschat is just a downgrade from Snaildom. Snailschat got closed down in the first place because nobody played it and it lost popularity. I'm sorry, but I disagree with the idea.

First of all, I would like to say that I completely respect your opinion. However, I would like to refute that statement because I believe the reason for that is because the community was small back then and we've given up too fast on it because we weren't putting in too much effort to update the game. I believe there IS someone who was actually actively playing the game, and I believe we can get it back to that state if we just focus on it more. Snaildom isn't bad at all, but I just don't like this idea where it's displayed as a kingdom, but that's just my opinion respectively. Who knows, maybe we can make up something totally different, or mash up the ideas to create something new.

Well, the problem with this idea, is that....

1.) Snaildom, in my opinion is better than Snails Chat.

2.) It would repeat- If Snaildom shuts down because no one plays it, the same will most likely happen with Snails Chat.

This is a thread to see who in the community would support the reopening of Snailschat, so it would not likely happen again if the people who support it would play it again.

Aren't they almost the same? Merge the two concepts together..

That's an interesting theory you have there. In my opinion, I would say they are no where the same. Snaildom has a different story that's completely unrelated to what Snailschat was. I just think this Kingdom stuff with Imperial Knights and whatnot is really getting out of hand.

As for the rest of you who supports this, I thank you all. I will not be stopping this idea until I hear Damen's opinion himself.
Also, what's up with this??

Hello, my name is Halo and I am a fellow player of Snaildom, and a former moderator of once was known Snailschat. That is main discussion today for this topic. My idea is that with all this Snaildom closing down buzz, if it is true, I say we close it down, only to recreate Snailschat! I am starting a movement about this and if we get enough supporters, we can forward this idea to Damen himself! Let's think about it for a moment here. For those of you who don't know what Snailschat is, it was a former game that Damen made in 2013 that is similar to Snaildom. However, even though it wasn't as popular as Snaildom is now, I believe now with our community together we can make it as popular. For more info, you can check out the post at my blog: https://haloplayer2k.wordpress.com/2015/01/11/snaildom-closing-down-bring-back-snailschat/

Now, I am not here to cause any drama or anything like that. This is my general opinion, and I'm curious to see those of us who agree with me. If you would like to see a short video of how Snailschat was like, you can check out the video at my blog or below here, which was made by a fellow user of SC at the time.

So, why am I doing all of this? I think this is an interesting idea that no one (to my surprise) has brought up yet. This idea cannot be valuable if it doesn't have the support of all of you and more importantly, Damen himself. I say this all can be possible, but only if Damen is up to it. Remember, this is a general idea, so we (or me) are still unsure of the future of SD as of now. So, I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on this. Do you agree with this idea?

Greetings Bailey,

As a fellow member of the community, seeing you are already a high-ranked user and well-known, I would just like to praise you for your determination and well written application. Your achievements/experience are outstanding as far as the eyes can see. However, you can put my word on it if you'd like, but I advise you not to focus on what you are good at for most of the time, and be honest on what you have to improve on and what actions you will take to improve those weaken areas. Your experience and trustworthiness says it all, but there is a never a time to stop improving yourself. Also, providing examples of scenarios also help, as it informs the administration that they can trust you in a situations where they know they can count on you. Otherwise, coming from me, you have my vote. Best endeavors to you, Bailey.

Exactly what I was going to say. As a fellow member, you should leave the decision making to the staff, since they know what's best for the forum. Since we are sharing opinions, I might as well say I believe you have no power of judging the people that have higher power than you. All I really have to say is, worry about yourself, not others.

Hello, Evan111! Welcome to the DSGHQ forums! I see you have applied to become a moderator on here, but I believe you are not yet ready for such a job. I recommend you build up some reputation, gain experience, be more active/post a lot, and definitely improve your grammar. Furthermore, you must have followed the template given for applying for a position, and also add more information about yourself, as well as why you would be responsible for the job. Otherwise, for your age there is nothing wrong with becoming a mod as long as you meet the requirements that the staff is looking for, and will take full responsibility for your actions.

Posted in What Are YOU Thankful For. • 27th November 2014, 05:50 PM

I am most thankful for having such a loving and caring family. Even though my parents are separated, I am just lucky to have such parents who still care and look after me up to this day. I am thankful for having the things I have now that most children around the world don't. Although I don't have the best life either, I cannot complain about anything. Struggling to live in America is such a terrible situation, but one day, dreams may come true. Live every day like its your last day, and just be thankful for what you all have.

Hi Cherryhead, I see you have an interest into becoming a moderator. If you would like to do so, you have to submit an application in the "Applications" subforum. There you would follow a certain format given by Damen. It would include your interests, skills, experience, etc. Once you apply it will be reviewed by a staff member, and they will give you feedback on what they think about it. I suggest you give it your best shot. Hope I helped, and good luck!

Hi Lily11171. You have the determination to become a moderator some day, but as Bailey stated, I would suggest adding more information about yourself and gain experience/trust from the fellow members. Furthermore, this will increase your chances as well as following the correct format. I would also suggest working on your grammar. And more thing, patience. Even though you're only 8, it's important to know that everything you want can't happen in one day. My advice to you: Never give up, and keep trying. I'm sure one day you can become something on these fine forums, you just have to put in more dedication.

Hi Amandapink30. I would like to add that you did a superb job in the creation process of this application. I'm no staff member, but as a fellow member of the DSGHQ forums, I would just like to add my word in. Some things you have well was the organization of this application, as well as your superior grammar skills. In my opinion, I believe you have the beneficial skills to become a great and friendly moderator one day. But as you may know already, keep working hard and your dreams will come following you. Furthermore, I would also like to add in that the key is patience. Waiting can be frustrating sometimes, but as the great Confucius once said, "Do what you love and you will never have to work a day in your life". I'd like you to take that as advice from me, and use it well.

Hello, Haloplayer2k! I see you are new because this is your first post, so welcome to the DSGHQ forums! My name is Bailey, Moderator, World Champion, and Knight. I see you are interested in becoming a helpful moderator of this fine establishment. That's great! Although, to become a well-trusted moderator, you need experience, trustworthiness, and some requirements. First, you must be between the age of 12-19, which you already have since you are 17. You need to have been a member of these forums for at least 5 months. Follow the rules, such as no cussing, cursing, or swearing, no inappropriate behavior, no bullying, no hacking, no impersonating, no spamming or flooding, respect all staff members and their decisions, and so forth. You need proper grammar and correct spelling, which you also have acquired! You need to intelligent, smart, mature, and so forth, which I can also see you have mastered. But really, you need experience. Earn ranks that are lower than moderator first to take the process step by step. For now, try and earn Member, you need 50 meaningful posts without spam, and 30 reputation. Do this and then ask a moderator to assess your posts so they can make you a Member! Good luck on your journey to moderator, and enjoy your stay!

First off, I would like to thank you for the warming welcome and feedback of my application. Hearing this from you, I know that patience is the key, and I am a very patient man. If there's anything I've learned so far in my life it's that the starting point of all achievement is desire, and it doesn't take a genius to understand what this means. I know Rome wasn't built in a day either, but I understand where you are going with this. I will try to be as active as I can and build up some reputation on these fine forums.

Good, but try getting the "Member" rank first. To get member, you need 30 rep/likes and 50 posts. Good luck!

Greetings,
As a staff member of Snaildom and the DSGHQ I found interest in your following application. For something so small it contained huge amounts of information. Although I do suggest adding in (experience, skills, reasons, and more detailing)... but you can choose whether or not to listen to me. Besides all that your grammar is neat and the way you speak to an audience is extremely amazing. +1

~Sadie, DSGHQ Moderator~

I thank you a bunch for reviewing and providing feedback on my application. I completely understand your criticism and will do what is best in my ability to make it perfect.

Dear Administrators/To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Haloplayer2k, and I am a fellow player and blogger for Snaildom. I heard from your ad on Snaildom that you were hiring some new moderators, and that sparked me an interest. Today I am submitting an application, so please look over and consider. I may not be so active on the forums, but I can change that. I am 17 years old, and I was a well-known player during the first game that was Snailschat. My experiences include being a Moderator and a beta tester for your original game, Snailschat. My interests are sports, chemistry, and obviously Snaildom. I have good leadership and trustworthy skills, and I can get the job done when needed in an appropriate situation. I am active about every day, so you may consider me to get things done. If you have any more questions/concerns you may reply to me in this message or drop me an email at [email protected]. Thank you for your time and reviewing my application, and I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,
Halo
