Greetings!
I have not made a post since a long time. Therefore, I wish to start on a common situation that teenagers may have gone through. It all started with an idea that I had in mind of creating a post. I was thinking of one that can impact others for those who are experiencing in this situation. After of making the decision of creating a post, I asked Abushekaus on Skype to give me a topic. Well, I had to turn to a different direction and look up quotes from the internet. This one quote has struck me because of such meaning behind it.
"you were born to be real, not to be perfect." - anonymous
This phrase has remembered of my past visions. As for me, I continue to be afraid of making mistakes. During my journey of being part of this community, I had fallen into many paths that were a struggle to me. My purpose into being here was to make people be satisfied.
As I kept that goal in mind, I have realized that I cannot do everything at once. I cannot control people's feelings or actions. I cannot one's mind. I understood that I need to respect people's decision and opinions. I believe that's one aspect that I have learned throughout the past year and a half.
Therefore, this has also made me realize that within respecting others, we need to respect their mistakes too. Although it might be hard to believe, just remember that there is always a reason behind it. Making mistakes is the basics of how to get through life. As I have heard people say in the past, you learn from your mistakes.
Not only this applies into being in this community, but in the real world too. I have made tons of mistakes and regrets over my life. Sometimes of making those mistakes, I feel guilty of myself and decide to speak up the truth. Even if the truth does hurt, soon you will heal overtime.
The point which I am trying to cross is that not being perfect is okay. What matters is that you are who you are. From my time of being here, I have came to a point that this community is a warming place. No matter what, we will be here through your difficulties. If you want someone to talk to, feel free to talk to me or any members here.
